I don't like the bright yellow much, but this seems like a GREAT deal for 55k!!

3k miles, WHAT?!! You could sell off a bunch of those accessories, and make bank to offset what you paid. And replace some of that yellow. And the tire, wheel, suspension set up looks awesome!

Also, when I checked out the suspension, ding! ding! ding!, I finally made the connection on @ColoradoTJ 's tag line. Til now, I thought he meant 'shockin' y'all'.o_O

Hahaha! I love when my brain catches me out, on this forum.

So anyway, I don't especially like the way that 4Runner looks, but I'd drive it in a heartbeat!

Over the years, I've figured out that, if it's sold at Costco, it's durable, got great reviews, and usually is American made. I always check Costco before buying mechanical or "tool" type stuff but, these months since I've had my truck, they didn't sell one locally, so I went the order-and-return-repeatedly route.

Mine came in Monday night. I plan to play with it this week and will share what I find out, @Marty McFly.

No matter how many accessories and mods I want, I mostly purchase in the order I can justify for 1. safety; 2. convenience; 3.badassery--

@Marty McFly, if I had your RTT rail support, and could mount a tank to one of the passenger side supports, I'd consider that. But since I don't, and don't want anything that heavy unsecured in the cab, I'm all about a portable compressor. For now. Down the road, if I can build the truck into what I envision, I'll eventually want an ARB locker...
Big Playa, Airin' ALL the Tires!

I think I'll be satisfied several years using a plug-in compressor as long as it can fill all 4 tires of mine + extra to share, within the 30 minute initial run time. And be small enough to fit under the seat. When I'm done with it for the truck, it can live in another of our cars.[/QUOTE]

I’ll have to check that out. The Costco job works for me. Admittedly it’s not the best. It has a lighter plug that is more sensitive then the people of Portland.... but it works. I’ve used it up on the mountain in the snow and out at the beach on the dunes. I hope it can handle 37’s if I go that route or I will look at getting something from Auto anything.... word on the streets is we know somebody.

Hahaha! Yep, I'm hoping for same. The one I ordered says it'll fill tires larger than 37's. But that's insurance (or to help a buddy). I figure, by the time I "need" 37's, I'll also "need" an ARB compressor.

Keep us posted on your thoughts with the compressor. I'd love to see what your thoughts are. I do like the idea of a compressor also. It's a one and done for sure. No more spending money on refills. If I do decide on the tank or if I can find one at a good price (they are expensive :() I would try to mount it to the bed rail as well

Alright, I think the real question everyone wants to know is ... If I put helium in my tires, will my truck float in the air lol

Well i stayed home from work today cause the little dude was sick...so no school for him. It would have been nice to plan this rather then walk back in the house from the gym at 445am to find out he was still sick. I could have gotten some sleep for once. But thanks Bang energy drinks for being there when I need you!! I managed to drain my laptop battery 2x and my cell phone 1 time. Thanks Tundras....and Amazon lol. My bank account thanks me for not messaging @eccracer104 directly looking for anything for the truck....trust me the want list is a bit crazy right now.

Haha! We need you and your truck (and your bank account, apparently) at our meet-ups. So I'm trying to recall, did you used to be in SoCal, or you're going to be soon? Need to know when we can

I was stationed in San Diego for 6 years. To avoid being a recruiter I had to take orders to NC but fully planned on moving back. Had a job lined up doing the same thing I did in the Marine Corps but it was just to expensive to try and make it on one income with two kids down there so we came back to Oregon. I have been down to visit friends a few times and we are looking to come back down again maybe this May.

My new treasurer idea is I have a friend(well he's more my brothers friend but he is still a good dude)thought about trying to organize a Tundras shirt and sell them. If I only made a dollar per shirt(seems reasonable not knowing margins)maybe I could fund my trip back down and then have a Meet and great at of course....a taco shop.

Well that 4runner was getting more love then I thought it would. Think this is more what the wife is looking for though. https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd/d/2016-toyota-4runner-trd-off/6469523582.html

It's obvious why you were voted in as treasurer! Keep me posted on the Tundra shirt. (I only wear long sleeves though.)
That's pretty nice... if you like white. :boink:

I think you're on the right track; these low mileage finds are awesome! Either would be super to go off-roading. Does your wife want to do that? If not, you could save a fortune with a less-capable but dependable alternative.

Something to consider with either of these; they both look like small dealers. So a mark-up you wouldn't see if you could buy from a private party-- which I would only want to do if it came with a long-time warranty, as would a used vehicle from a Toyota dealership. Just a thought.

If I was going to save money I would have made her take my 4runner instead of trading it on the Tundra. She basically wants a white one. No chrome. Its at least another year or two out from happening but ideally it will have leather and moonroof also. I will buy a stock one this time and save the money and do the lift, wheels, tires myself. Now being on Toyota #3 and 4 I have learned a couple things along the way.

I have two different possibilities to get shirts made. I haven't talked to either but if it looked like it had a demand I could start some conversations.

That's a good looking 4Runner! But I get it, some people get hung up on a colour and fall in love with the vehicle after. :anonymous:

Hmmn. I notice I've been hiding my face a lot today....

I'd be interested in a shirt, but I really do only buy long-sleeves, and I'd only get one. So that's all the demand I bring. But I'd love the heck out of a good-looking Tundra shirt!

I think another meet up the 395 is an intriguing destination. I've been up to Mammouth but never really explored areas around the 395. Is anyone familiar with the trails up there?

No really. My mom lived in Fish Lake Valley for a while, just over the mountains NE of Bishop, so I know there are some. And the country up there is beautiful. Gotta check it out.

Be place we might lure some NorCal guys to meet too....

And by "we" I mean "you". I'm spinning my wheels pretty hard, trying to turn my 2WD into a 4WD.

This is what I've set up. I'm hoping a local member, @renosauce will be able to duplicate and produce the mount that I created. This mount would work for the Viair and ARB twin as well. I'm also hoping to incorporate into the mount a method for securing 2 filters for the secondary air pump relocation.ARB mount.jpg IMG_20180109_123637_836.jpg

I think 395 meet would be far for most people. Might have to nix that idea.

How about Green Valley Lake? I often use it to rendezvous for T4R runs. Close by and 2wd friendly trails... fwiw

Is there any off roading in Gorman? I've been bugging a friend to lend me their dirt bike so I can go up there but haven't fully convinced them yet apparently...

Gorman has trails. I've never been there but apperently a good guide that knows the area would be best.
