My current 40inch lightbar behind my pro grill seems to be leaking and has moisture inside of it (I hit a deer back in September and the lightbar somehow survived, until now). I am wanting to drop a 30in or so bar in its place, since the bull bar on my fab fours premium covers up the ends of the bar.

The rest of the lighting is as follows (all will be on an switch pros panel)
Nsv lightbar in the bulge (white)
Vision x Optimus for fogs (white)
Rigid dually d2 driving lights (white)

Thinking an amber bar would be a good fit. I use the bars for two things- 1) highway driving at night in MT, ID and WY- lots of deer and bad weather with little traffic
    2) lighting up fields for setting up and breaking down waterfowl hunts

    Options:
    S8 wide driving amber- 13,560lm
    S8 driving/ combo- 13,560 lm
Onx6 racer edition high speed spot- put amber tint on it?
Onx6 hi power driving/ combo- 34,950lm/ toss amber tint on it?

    Thanks for posting up!

Are you planning on exceeding 80MPH at night? If not, I'd recommend avoiding the OnX6 Racer Edition since it was designed for high speeds and long range applications. You will find that the extreme distance will be too focused for setting up camp and near/midfield use.

With that being said the S8 and OnX6 are both great LED Light Bars. A lot comes down to the form factor, looks, and performance. Here is a sample shot of our S8 30" LED Light Bar. As you can see the combo pattern is a smooth blend of near field, midfield, and distance lighting.

We also offer this light in a full Wide Driving pattern which is designed specifically for near field and midfield use. You will find a lot more light between the telephone pole and tree (above) and reduced long range output. This is ideal for poor conditions or when your primary goal is near field and midfield lighting. https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/S8-30-Inch-LED-Light-Bar.asp

The OnX6 will offer a very similar pattern with increased light output. Please post up if you have any questions! We are happy to help.

Thanks for the beta! Our highway speed limits are 80 or 70 out here, usually going slightly over that. The racer might be a little too much though... I havent hooked the NSV up yet to gauge its output and pattern- it is replacing a cheapy ebay single row bar that is a pure spot so it is my distance light.

Since you're going to be around 80mph at night the Hi-Power would be your next best option. It features LEDs found in our XL80 and XL Racer Edition giving you complete coverage for near field, midfield, and distance lighting.

Each 10" section has 2 Racer Edition LEDs and 4 XL80 LEDs which means having a 30" OnX6 Hi-Power would be equivalent to 1.5 XL Racers and 3 XL80 LED Auxiliary Lights.

We don't have too many details yet but I can share a little bit of info ...

First, we are going to first offer a Hybrid LED/LASER Light using the OnX6 and Laser Emitters. Down the road you will see more combinations over our other Series of Lights.

The new Baja Designs Laser Light series is the pinnacle in distance lighting. The Laser Light is capable of throwing light 60% further than LEDs, with this amount of distance being achieved we have created a "Hybrid" light in order to give the user the ultimate package. We utilize Laser and LED chips wrapped in our high speed spot optic to deliver a smooth blend of light for less driver fatigue. If you're looking for a light that will cut through the night with ease, look no further.

Went with a 30in onx6 high power behind the grill, s8 in amber combo in the hood bulge, amber wide drivings in the fogs, and white spot/ combos in the other slot! Thanks
