    Hey, guys.
After owning 2014 1794 for over year, and not being able to find any additional spaces for switches except for Spod, I have decided to build my own.

Here is my parts list (I will be editing this as build progresses)

    1. 12v Marine Boat Bus. ( gives me 6 switches with fuses) $74
    2. AGT (5 Pack) 30/40 AMP Relay Harness Spdt 12V Bosch Style (40AMP-HRNS) $14
    3. 32lf of 16AWG, 6lf of 10AWG, 6lf of 12AWG wire. $15
    4. Marine grade heat shrink, butt connectors. I chose all marine type to protect from moisture. (Some may say its an overkill, but I've been doing this for years and never failed.) $10
    5. Soldering gun and Head gun, plus misc tools and clean table.

I plan to remove the sunglasses lid/pocket and install switches in its place. I do have to trim the Bus switch plate little bit along the top and bottom, but surprisingly side wise it fits perfect.

So far I plan on using only 2-3 of 6 available switches.: 40" light bar, GPS On/Off, and hood Raptor mod.

    Couple hours of work got me this far today.20151213_185107.jpg 20151213_185116.jpg 20151213_185140.jpg 20151213_195155.jpg 20151213_200415.jpg 20151213_200448.jpg 20151213_202415.jpg 20151213_202556.jpg

Looking good. Very pro. I think you should go with the "Bilge Pump", "Anchor Light " "Depth Sounder", "Fresh Water", "Kontmeter", and "Bait Pump" stickers just to make it interesting. heh heh...:oldglory:

It's a model. I didn't catch it at first though something didn't look quite right.

    You could go all James Bond and label them;

    • Oil Slick
    • Smoke Screen
    • Left/Right Front Wing Machine Guns
    • Rear Bullet Proof Screen
    • Tire Slashers
    • Ejector Seat

    That's how I roll.

Dead post revival as I am looking into doing this.

This would in a sense, prevent you from having to run multiple wires in from your battery each time you add an accessory, correct?

So, I am with you on the first item. You mount that in your engine bay, and run all of your accessories to that. You then have a remote to turn on said accessories, rather than having manual switches in your cab, correct?

You lost me on the second part. I am not incredibly familiar with electrical work, in the sense that I don't really know how to make relays work properly and in my favor. I am comfortable doing basic wiring; ie; wiring in an amplifier for a stereo, add-a-fuse type work, and always-on USB/Car Chargers. That sort of thing. Can you help explain a bit more what you mean?

Also, on a side note, I have been throwing around the idea of adding foot-well lighting as well as rock-lights. I would like the option of having the lights turn on when unlocking the doors, opening the doors, as well as turning them on individually by way of switch. I'm guessing this sort of thing would require some sort of relay?

I used the first part to control the lights, the remote makes it easy, carry into my house at night if I need to use the lights. I use this to trigger my relays.
The 2nd part is a really holder with fuses. Wire your relays and lights and other stuff to them, it's a safer approach than just using the Blazer. That way too you can run more lights and accessories of of 1 switch if you wanted too.
I also use a 12v fuse panel for power to my relays so they're all fused separately. Extra protection.
For the lights to come on when you hit unlock, yes you have to find that trigger wire then tap into it, then to your relay, also depends on how much your leds draw, you might not need 1, but it's better to be safe.

That was the intention of running it safe. I've seen way too many truck catch fire due to (~#$&(*$ wiring and took extra steps.
I've switched to S-POD (price was TOO good to pass it up) and still use the system in my boat.
