I did what I was hoping to be my final mod. Tires and wheels.

I ordered Black Rhino Overlands and
    Ridge grapplers in 275/70/18.
When I ordered the wheels through Discount tire I was sure I said +30 mm offset but they ordered me +6mm offset. I was a little pissed but they really dont look bad at all and if anything I’ll get some decent flares.

BUT! I’m having some decent rubbing issues on the front plastic. I removed the little mud flap but I’m still rubbing pretty good on the plastic. What’s gives??? Shouldn’t I be able to run that size without issue? I have the 6112 coil overs set at 1.9 inches. I figured I would clear easy?

Any ideas? Also, anything to worry about with that offset??

It’s because of the offset. Trim and move the liner forward and you should be good.

Thanks, that was my plan. Do you think that offset is to much?

Like @BlueBottle said, the rubbing is 'cause of the offset. You can loosen the bumper and pull the whole assembly froward about .5". You can also use a heat gun to reform the plastic but be careful it melts easily.

OOOOOOOR you can tear the whole liner out and get an off-road bumper. Then you'll be able to clear anything (well almost anything lol). You're welcome, we are just here to help!!

Nah, I don't think it'll cause you any issues other than the rubbing, a little larger turning radius and more mud on the sides of your truck. o_O

It looks really good BTW. I'm a fan of Black Rhino rims. I think they make some quality wheels.

Your fine. It won’t cause any issues but rubbing and shit flying to the sides of your truck.

Don’t listen to these guys, the offset is too low for 1.9”. Except for @boardude, that is solid advice. ;) If and when you decide to go to a larger size tire, you’re gonna rub everything, including the cab mount. If you can exchange them, I’d definitely exchange them. If not, then deal with the rubbing.

Doesn't make sense I have the billstein also on the highest setting with the same tires that you have but I really don't remember the offset

I’m at +12 and the rubbing was minimal without a CMC. A little bumper and liner trim got the job down

Yeah... he’s another quarter inch further out than you with over an inch less lift. You can’t compare the two, that’s a huge difference. I’m just saying if op can exchange them he should. If he’s rubbing with 275/70 what’s going to happen if he decides to throw on some 35’s in three years.

I have no desire to go to a bigger tire ever and I think I could eliminate the rub with a little plastic cutting but @joonbug has got me thinking it would be really wise to exchange. If I do I think +30 mm offset would be ideal. That offset for my lug pattern is pretty damn limited. The only thing I see that I might like is the Xd 778. Shit, now I don’t know what to do...

Those rims look sweet. I would just keep em. Do the mod to adjust the liner for the rub and call it a day. The stance looks bad ass. Here's mine before and after flares.20171101_091402-1.jpg

I WANT to keep these Overlands. I think they are sweet as hell. I’m going to see what happens when I remove the plastic tomorrow. If it stops rubbing I am keeping them. If it still rubs then I’ll look to increase the offset
