I had 2 different labrial tears, and rotator cuff damage. Got nothing but permanent anchors holding that shit together now.

Make sure to keep up on that physical therapy. Supposedly got more damage now and pending 3rd surgery.

I had a stage 5 shoulder separation and a dislocated clavicle. Hacked off 20mm of my clavicle, reset it, and put humpty dumpty back together with a cadaver (I call him Bob) and a couple bio screws

    Snowboarding incident :anonymous:

The funny part is after i started healing I would slap my wife's ass while she would be doing the dishes or something and walk away and say "Bob did it."
I thought it was funny until about a week later my little one walked up to her and slapped her ass and ran away saying "Bob did it, Bob did it, Bob did it." Oh the trouble I was in for that one....

    That's. Awesome.

My daughter has seen me hump my wife from behind in the kitchen, and started imitating it. Not the dog, my daughter. Probably the single funniest thing I've seen her do.

I have an appt with a sports ortho end of the month. Pretty sure this will be happening at some point. 3 years on/off pain and very consistent for the last 6 months. Physical therapy isn't working

It's definitely not fun. The post PT is probably the worst part. Personally I had a bunch of scar tissue forming and the technicians had to literally "gently" force my arm into some of the movements or I would have lost movement to a degree.

I was not excited to do it but it had to be done. Been in constant pain since last November. It's still completely numb so no pain as of yet...... I'm told it will come tho

Following back up on surgery talk. Sports ortho thinks it's a torn lebrum. I'll call tomorrow to schedule an MRI. Best case scenario is 4-6 weeks in a sling post surgery (if needed).

Consider yourself lucky. Most labrum tears can be fixed with arthroscopic surgery. Pro tip...get two of these if you do have surgury: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TG16N0
It fits completely over the shoulder and down both the front and back side of it. Ice was the only thing that helped my pain after surgery. Well...the narcotics helped to, but that's a different kind of pain relief.
