S'all good bro. I'm there with ya. It's cheat day today. I want a fast food burger and fries. I could go to the nearest fast food joint I guess. But where's the fun in that? I'm making my own fast food style food. :D

Hey those look pretty good...good job!

Any other cooks in here? When my Mom died in '97 from lung cancer my Dad was lost in the kitchen (he could make poached eggs an toast...not much else). So my dear wife went on a quest to teach this guy how to cook...and not just greasy-diner grill cooking I'm talking homemade casseroles and stuff from scratch. It took a few years but now I'm almost as good a cook as her...we actually like taking turns making delicious stuff.

If anybody loves the zuppa soup at the Olive Garden I have the recipe and it's one of my favorites...as well as the lettuce wraps from PF Changs. (I haven't made that one in a while)

We should start a thread and share recipes

Duel fuel, gas cook top and electric convection oven, are what I went with when we remodeled our kitchen. Electric ovens are much more consistent, but you might need an oven thermometer because they are not always consistently accurate. If you set on 350 it might be 325, every time. So set it on 375 for a 350 internal temp, check with an oven thermometer, frequently. While I really like the art of cooking, flavor combinations and such, time and temperature are a cook's best friends.

And no, it's not wrong to want a nice oven. My second priority when we moved for the first and last time was a different kitchen. But regardless you do still need to get out more, everyone does. :rockband: :yay:

When I am home 99% of the time I drink water. I go thru 2 cases a week as a norm. In the summer I add a few beers a week, or some ice tea.

At work I drink a Coke.

    I am a odd duck

I have an expensive dual fuel jennair oven. Can’t say that I noticed it being any better. However, I’m not a baker. I am a decent cook otherwise. My wife bakes and she claims the oven is more consistent. She has less burning incidents, but could also be from having more experience.

Nothing wrong with liking to cook. I love to cook. It may be my Italian heritage but it's just as good for me to watch someone enjoy a meal I made than it is for me to eat it. Invited friends over last night and made braised rabbit with risotto. Desert was banana nutella ice cream. I don't make the ice cream but I start with pain vanilla then incorporate mashed ripe banana and nutella then refreeze it.
