Has anyone installed this system and if so what are your thoughts?

Ordered some wiring from them. Would deal with again. Everything I researched with their systems was very positive.

 

I ordered speakers from them and they sent me a different set claiming they were the same. I will not deal with them again.

 

Almost spent A LOT of money with them. Then I started reading a bunch of bad things. I decided to go to Tech12Volt instead and was pleased.

 

What kind of bad things did you read about them? I'm about to drop some coin

 

Take it with a grain of salt it is the internet after all.

Poor response to problems
Someone ordered a specific speaker, and was sent a different one. They told him its pretty much the same thing.
I saw an audio installer that said that their stuff is just re branded (don't remember the brand but it was a low end brand) stuff.

Some of the same things are said about tech 12v but you can also find many people on this forum that have used him.

edit: LOL the speaker guy is a couple posts up. I knew i saw it somewhere.

 

Thanks, that's what I was concerned about, relabeled low end brand.

 

What did you get and was everything plug and play like the amp ect

 

Their speakers are Image Dynamics. I saw another site with Toyota PnP with the same. Been researching and watching YouTube videos and overwhelming sound quality reviews are positive. Not sure about customer service and I'm not trying to brush aside any comments posted here.

 

If you do some in depth searches on here this had been discussed like crazy. I've seen them gouge members for money.

Someone returned a grand Worth of product and they kept the money and the products. From everything I have read they aren't worth the risk in my opinion.

 

Dishonest. Terrible response to problems. They'll charge you for something, backorder it and hold your money for an unknown amount of time until they can ship. Ive heard months sometimes with refusal to refund.

I ordered from James @ Tech12Volt and probably emailed him with 30 questions, to which he answered nearly all of them. This was all post sale, which obviously isnt required.

 

Most of the bad things i've read about ********* was older issues. I chat'd with ********* and they seemed ok. I didn't get a bad feeling after asking them a bunch of questions, and i've read about some people very happy with their products.

In reality, people need to get over the whole "plug and play" thing. With the exception of oem+'s jbl setups, i wouldn't consider any of it plug and play. They make it easier to install, but its still going to take some time. You are better off piecing together a system, you will get better bang for your buck and probably save some money.

 

I’m a year from taking on sound in my 17 but open to all the comments. I’m going for PnP and will do the sound deadening....that will give enough SQ for me. Thanks for all the input as I was Taco Tunes all the way. Still might go with them but for sure research is wide open.

 

James @ Tech12Volt Is a stand up guy and answered a ton or questions for me. I went with James and all JL Audio System. Sub box is being build and components for all four doors.

The AMP is a RD900 and is PNP. I will take lots of pics and post. I am about 6 days from shipping. The sub box needs to fully cured or UPS will kick it back

 

My sub box will be here tomorrow from Net Audio. Custom underseat box for my JL Audio 12TW3. Cant wait! Whole truck is wired up waiting for it.

 

Being in San Antonio i’m probably a little biased since they’re located here. Rob and his team are awesome. I had some concerns when i first read the reviews. I don’t think they thought they would grow into the operation they have today. A few years ago i’d Chalked that up to being stretched to thin but all in all the local group here has nothing but positives. Rob has made this his focus and just working with him and his team you’ll be satisfied. They placed a system in my 2016 Pro then had them swap it out into my 2018 1794. Very satisfied. System sounds amazing

I have the complete 1b setup (12" subs) in my '17 CM and I'm extremely pleased. I swapped out my stock head unit for a pioneer in dash (tuning purposes) I had zero issues from them. Great customer service, every part I ordered was received accurately and everything was packaged good. Sound quality is fantastic considering the space you're working with behind the back seat. Sure it's expensive, but I'd defineyly buy it again. The stereo shop that I had install it said it was a great deal and told me it was a good product as well. Good luck on what you decide buddy

 

i ordered front and rear speakers from them took two weeks (yesterday i received it) and when i opened the box some of parts i paid for were missing. emailed them after i opened it and still no response from them to this point!!!

Hi, can you tell me your order number? If you ordered CTX65CS and Received ID65CS they are the same exact speakers just a newer branded name from ID. Soon we will have our own branded name from ID.

 

IF you get a chance check out our system 1B. It connects all the factory wiring. Even the amp rack bolts into the factory location. Our products are installed in brand new Toyotas before they hit the showroom. If you did side by side willl be tough to beat the system 1B for the items received.
