Is there any way to remove the backup camera grid lines? My after market stereo imposes grid lines that move when you steer to know where you are heading and seem much more helpful but I need to remove the factory ones so it does not look like a jumbled mess.

I installed an aftermarket camera with Toyota headunit into my 4runner and the camera had two wires that you either connect or don't connect depending on whether you wanted the grid lines or not.

The wires stick out near the camera end about 3 or 4 feet from the camera.

Understood, I wasn't sure if the factory camera may have that. I tried doing some searching but it seems to be year related. Some trucks seem to come with the lines and others don't.

Thanks for checking. I googled it and some Toyotas allow you to change it in the entune radio but that is not in the manual for 2018. Though evenif you could i would have to find a work around since i no longer have that installed

No. I stopped looking because the ones on my headunit overlay nicely and sometimes it takes a while for them to show so I still have the factory ones at that time. I decided to keep them.
