im looking for new side steps. I have the OEM oval steps that hang lower. I’m looking for either

    1. GoRhino D2
    2. NFab nerf
    3. magnum steps

I have a 4.5 inch lift on my truck and I want a tighter to the body look.

Can you guys post your pics and your experiences.

    Pros and cons! Thanks!!

SDHQ; wait-list for BAMF group buy; white knuckle are top 3 on here for close to the body sliders not steps.... Don't know if you need them low, but these get top ratings for protecting your truck frame while looking great, and maintaining the lifted look.

Oh! And, welcome from SoCal; good looking truck!

I like those. Hadn’t seen them yet. Some people complain about size of steps and hitting their foot on the bar..

I’m curious about that as well..

Super nice truck! Heres my truck with Go Rhino RB10 steps. Theyre supposed to be Raptor look alikes. The thing i like about them is the lowest spot on them is about even with my frame so i didnt lose ground clearance. They have a bed liner style coating on them and stick out just far enough that a ranch gate that hit my truck smack dab in the middle of my crewmax's rear door just hit the steps. They were $500 from AutoAnything.com. Hopefully this helps!IMG_5810.jpg

If I didn't need sliders, I'd get Amp research power boards.

Question on the Amp steps. Can they be set to stay open/out when you are parked? I would like the Amps but I also like the door ding protection provided slider/nerfs.

I believe they can be set to stay open, but i dont see why you would want to spend that amount of money on motorized steps that have to be wired in and everything, and then just leave them down. My uncle paid $1700 installed. In that case i would just go with a low profile running board like the Go Rhino RB10 that i have. It saved my rear door from a metal gate.

Oh, I wouldn't want them to stay open while i was driving, only when parked.

Anything is possible. But its not an "option" for the steps, they drop as soon as a door is open (they are side independent) and retract a second after the door closes.

I read someone installed a switch so you can manually control them, so theoretically you could wire it so whenever its in park, the steps go down, but you would have to make sure there isn't a power draw on the steps when they are down.

My Body Armor Rock Steps are about as beefy and low profile as you are going to find without upgrading to sliders. Each side weighs almost 50 lbs. There are pics of the mounting brackets on my build thread. Haven't come across any other steps with better mounts. Also side protection too...

Anything is possible but at that point sliders are gonna offer a LOT more protection. I got some AP sliders through a group deal here and love the way they're angled up.

Nice truck! I’m in the same situation. Leaning towards those Amp Research powersteps, but I’m not looking to do much off-road.

you can buy a separate manual switch BUT I wouldn't bother with AMP steps if you are going to leave them down in parking lot. 1-they are fairly low and won't do a lot for dings 2-spend half the money and get sliders if you want to really get a good look and usable protection.

So a member in one of our FB tundra pages had a client order some but backed out.

They’re basically the Magnum steps. I bought them for $240 new with Install included. They are an off brand called Speedy Daddy. Compared them directly to the Magnum steps on another truck and they’re identical but these actually seems better placed/spaced.

Was a deal too good to pass up!

I have steps like this and I am looking to replace the driver's step plate. They were on when I bought the truck. I wonder if there is a way to tell between the two or if they are so identical that it won't matter which step I get?
