    It mounts to the bed rail. They also make an adapter bracket if you do not have bed rails. The adapter uses the factory holes for the bed rail. I am using the adapter bracket on my bed rails to both lower the position of the flag pole holder and to clear the frame rails of my bed cover

    Yes, pop off the end caps of the bed rail and slide in the 2 T-nuts, reinstall end cap, move T-nuts along rail to where you want the flag pole mount, then mount the pole holder to the rail using the bolts.

    question looking at your truck makes me wonder about leveling mine, since I have dealer installed running boards (Xp model) will they be unlevel if I level the truck, I can see larger gap on rear of running board than front to level it this stock height truck. hope that ? makes since.
