Would there be an issue with water getting into the gap and sitting in that pocket? Thats my main concern.

I've never had an issue with it. Water is going to go into the front grille area of your truck when it rains. Even if it was perfectly tight water will still go into that area but it won't hurt anything.

when you put the NSV clips on, they go under the pins and prevent them from floating around. This may cause them to not seat properly. I tried all different ways and could never get it quite right. @1UPPER have you asked you contact at NSV about this? may order some new pins to see if that helps.

I got mine direct from the NSV. I spoke directly with the vendor. Very cool guy. I believe TORC on Instagram sells it for less than anyone else.

I spoke with the NSV rep and he said they have seen this before. He said the gaps on the hood bulge are typically caused from over tightening the screws to hold the end of the light bar. I think I'm going to remove my hood bulge and install a small washer on the two screws on the outside edges. I think this should correct the slight gap. I'll keep you posted on the before and afters. There are some other exciting new NSV products coming to the market. Unfortunately I can't discuss them until they officially release.

so this thread got me thinking so I pulled my bulge apart tonight. tried swapping the pins that support the clips around and made sure everything was fully clipped in.
honestly I think the light bar is just a rigid piece of aluminum inside what used to be a plastic pocket. if the light bar was slightly too flat horizontally then these corners wouldn't sit down fully. all in all the gap us so minor and that area was never watertight unless there is a simple fix I doubt I'll ever mess with it.
You can't tell when viewing the vehicle from any angle except looking forward from the fender. it's only because were all ocd about our babies I mean trucks. still a solid product and suggest anyone with a tundra get one. the extra running lights are BA and the night rider function on lock/unlock just gives you another reason to turn around and admire your baby I mean truck.

Did you try not tightening those screws so much and also maybe adding a washer? Like was said above. Mine has no gap. But I guess some of you all do. I didn't torque my screws very tight to begin with though.

I did not try the washer thing and my screws are just snug so they arent loose. I'll try the washer thing tomorrow and report my findings.

I may try the washer at some point also. I did remove the 2 end clips they provide and it may have been better but did some many different things I am not sure. Let us know if anyone has success. Thanks, Mike

I have the pro grill no gap. But the gap that a couple people are experiencing isnon the hood bulge, nothing at all to do with the grill

@Sting Ray noticed you have the 18 headlights and the nsv. do you still have the swype function when you lock and unlock your truck? after installing my headlights today I noticed swype on lock unlock isn't working anymore. it still works if I use the switch tho.

I had to remove the purple wire completely from the plug that controls the blinker and drl because the dim drl harness was causing the interior lights to stay on and blink when i used the blinker. What a nightmare but fixed i just hope this light doesnt need the puple wire lol aint going through that again.
