So, I know a couple people here have the BD and I forgot who's build thread I was reading them from but wanted to get some opinions and whatnot.

I think I'm going to get myself one for Christmas and wanted to know who thinks it's worth it.

What kind of performance addition are you getting? Any pre/post MPG gains? For $332 on Amazon is it worth it MPG wise bc I'll probably use it mostly for that. Do you have to run premium with it?
Any other comments would be appreciated. I don't want to spend $350 on something that won't really do anything, ya know.

Do you think once the SC is on it will make more of a difference?

    From my point, ya
Some guys who already have the S/C had some issues wort it running too lean too IIRC..that, and if u screw something up and u can't get it back to stock mode before the dealer gets it you may be screwed (warranty wise) depending on the issue

So for a non supercharged, doubtful I have warranty(I actually don't know the warranty ) at 8 years old and 75k miles.

    It would be pointless?

I had better shift points. You can play with the different modes. I believe @TruckyTruck has one too and enjoys it.

If you have dual exhaust it really brings the low end torque on. I've got 35 inch 80 pound tires and easily get 14 mpg avg.

my flex fuel recently thought it was running ethanol and I had to take it in to the dealer. They told me there had been two updates since I had my ecu flashed. When I went home to re install my tuner I couldn't get it to take a tune. It was after hours so I couldn't talk to bullydog and had to work this last week. Either bully dogs server wasn't downloading the tunes or the flash locked out the ecu

I hope I can get it installed when I get some time or I'll just have a paperweight! I really like the tuner though. It makes the truck fun to drive.

If you don't have a warranty, headers and dual exhaust would be a way better way to spend your money though. However the performance shifting is worth buying the tuner for me.

No headers, but I do have true duals. Is that 14mpg town or combo?

Heck, 90% of my in town is no more than 3 mile trips usually I average 10 and the best highway being 90% highway I've gotten 14.
I might give one a whirl and if it turns out not useful I can always sell it again probably

I had the BD on mine
Performance shift on the the Trail tune. Did really nice and firmed up the shifts, but there's only maybe a 1mpg gain all around...

There are economy tunes brother, but you wont see any gains at all from them. Nothing you do to the tundra will help in terms of fuel economy unfortunately :(

If you're looking for a nice power/low end torque upgrade, then save your cash and buy a BaMufflers system. No drone, a few hp gained, and torque gained as well. This system can also help your mpg's but not until like 6 months after you get the system bc your right foot will be pretty heavy lol.
