Odd thing, gas cap no longer clicks when I tighten it. No codes are being thrown so I guess its tight enough and forming a seal. Will have the dealership replace it when I can get there, its an a hour drive from me.
Just odd, never had that one happen before.

mine isn't really a pronounced "click" every time i close it either. i've never really thought to worry about it.

This one used to make a loud click when I tightened it, then the other day got gas and nothing lol

i think he's hoping that his dealer will cover the cost of a new one... at least that's how i'm reading it.
mine seems to be caused by the tether that keeps the cap attached to the truck sometimes getting a little cockeyed around the fill spout and holds it from the audible click.

Well first its covered by the bumper to bumper warranty

Second, everywhere is an hour drive from me, I live in he middle of no mans land so to speak, no kidding an hours drive to everywhere but work, lol

Third it gives me a chance to BS with my salesman, he is a great guy and we like to shoot the shit and sometimes go out for lunch

Fourth its an excuse to get out town for a day or a few hours at least

did I mention its covered by warranty, ya I could replace it myself but no I think I will let the dealership do it. Will have t looked at during my next service next month

    That's about it

Fair enough. We all have different thresholds. For me, a couple gallons of gas and 3+ hours of my time is worth more than the ~$20 for the part.
