    Hello. I don't have a Tundra (yet), but I'm a Toyota truck guy from way back. I learned to drive on an '81 4x4, did a GM V6 engine swap on an '82 4x4, had a couple 4Runners and the Ms. and I currently have an FJ. ...and a Civic. We won't talk about the Civic. Or who gets to take the FJ to work because it's really "her" truck. Sheesh.

    But I've always longed for a full-size Toy. I had once planned to take a 1st gen 4x4 and widen and stretch it (before the T100 was even a twinkle in Toyota's eye), but then life happened; bought a house, got a wife, 2 kids, divorce..

    So the Ms. and I bought a new house early last spring, and we need to do some landscaping. The FJ and Civic aren't exactly ideal for hauling fence posts and rocks, so I finally have a reason to find a truck.

    It won't be a new truck. And it won't likely be particularly low mileage. It might even be a bit ugly (I hope not), but it's time.

    So mostly around here for now I'll be looking for advice on buying used Tundras and what to watch out for. Any advice you're willing to share would be greatly appreciated.

    Coos Bay - Cool. I was down there a few months ago; I have an Aunt who lives in Scottsburg on hwy 38. I was down for an RV show in Salem, so took mom to visit her sister. I could absolutely live in Oregon.

    Portland is cool.. except for that stupid concrete interchange on the I5 that pumps you into town if you're 1 lane too far to the.. uh.. left? See, this is why it happens to me EVERY TIME I drive through Portland.

    In other news, our FJ came from Portland originally.

    120 square miles probably qualifies it as "Big Ass". Lots of boats and houseboats. Some big fish lurking around. Nice and clean. A wee bit chilly at the moment though.

    I stopped over night twice on Teslin Lake north of you on the BC/Yukon Border. Teslin is very similar. Long and narrow. I think 3 miles at the widest but something like 70 miles long. BC is great...
