Good question. I'll be sure and post my findings. I would think the weight wouldn't be near as noticeable as the larger radius rotating on the truck. I'm going back and forth between the 33's and 35's but it's all going to depend on my off road dealers feelings about the height and width along with the rub factor. I'm going to have to do some digging regarding whether "to cut, or not to cut" to ensure I have full turn radius along with what the rim can truly handle.

I obviously like the idea of keeping the current rim in place and saving $1k but I am digging some of the Fuel products out there.

On my 2012, the truck definitely noticed the extra weight from the 35" Toyos and wheels.
The ones I run now are around 20lbs lighter each tire and it acts like it's not even there.

Well, just got the truck back from our local dealer. Here's some before and after of the ProComp Nitro kit with no other additions. I just picked up the truck on Friday so it'll be next week before some of the other stuff comes trickling in from my online orders.

I'm hoping to add some 35 x 12.5-13 Open Country M/T's or similar pretty soon but I've got enough stuff to keep me busy. :)

I didn't feel much of a difference. The speedo calibrator is reccommended to bring the speedo and odometer back in line.

3" Toytec Lift, 20" Mayhem Wheels (8090) 34.1" Tires. More to come.
Ready lift is just strut spacers. On top of the front coil/shock the rear is just blocks that sits on top of the axle to lift the truck. Bilstein is the actual shock itself. It shouldn't interfere. And if u are going to spend money on a lift. Spacers are the cheapest way example ready lift rough country leveling kit etc. if u have money I'd advise doing a complete kit with UCA's and new shocks without using spacers. Toytec makes some nice kits. BDS makes nice lifts but I haven't seen anything less than 6 inches from them for the 2015/2016 tundras. You can find lifts anywhere from Google- Amazon to real truck.com to your local Toyota dealership.

I'll be going for a 4.5" BDS lift with 20's hoping for 35's with some small cutting. I've seen a few on 2015's locally here and I like the look of a 4.5" over the 6" without having to do some serious rim/tire upgrades. You also have to consider any garage parking around your area as most airports and some work places are at a 6' 8" max so it restricts you a bit. I've got a 3/1 ProComp Nitro on there now and it's just a tad shy for my taste but was well worth the price of $500 until I pull the trigger on a $3-4k upgrade.

A lot of people on here have a 3" lift on 35" tires. A 4.5" should be plenty without cutting.

Here is how mine is set up at this time and going to make a few changes. It has a 2.4 leveling kit on the front the wheels are 18x9 + 18 offset and the tires are 295/70r18. The rub a little at full lock when back up and remove the front lower slash guards. It just needs and an Half inch to not rub in the back. I am thinking about doing to the ready lift 4/2 and I have a shop hand making me new slash guards for the front. image.jpgimage.jpg

Man, I hope so. Everyone I've been talking to here locally (various off road places) were telling me that running 35's on 20x12's would be impossible without massive cutting due to a compact wheel bay on a 3/1. If I could even get away with SOME minor cutting I'd happily do it versus spending $3k for another 1.5". My office's garage has a 6' 8" restriction so a 6" with the tires/wheels I'd like (fat) would likely be far too close for comfort. I'll have to do some searching. Thank you for the information.

The best thing that I have heard so far from my shop is that they did a 3/1 ready lift, 18x9 with + 25 offset or 6" back spacing and a 285/75r18. All that has to be done is to remove the two front mud flaps. And the tire dose not stick out but maybe an 1/4".

Here's a pic of mine 3/1 lift. 34.1" tire it's a 275/65/R20 lifted the front 5 inches and the rear 3.5" gave it a nice level stance with a slight rake

Anywhere from 500$ to 800$. I would advise if u go that route. Get some adjustable UCA's but it's not a necessity right away.

I just did the measurements and with a 3" lift- and 34" tires it raised the truck up front 5". A lot taller than I originally thought it would do.

Upper control arms. And what? Replace tires? You want a lift. Tires and wheels are a whole different ball game. I would strongly advise you start research. 90% of us on here spend a lot of time researching and learning exactly what we want on our truck. Before we spend the money....... - it may be beneficial for you to go to a local off-road shop or garage and talk to them. - if you go cheap on suspension, it's still gonna cost a lot. If you do it right it's gonna cost a lot- so either way. You're gonna spend some money. Research research research. I read up for 4 months before deciding what I wanted on my truck .

295/60/20 toyo tires. Zero Offsett wheel fits flush with pocketed fender flares
Without flares you will need maybe an 18??
Icon stage 5 suspension lift 3/1
    Ride is wonderful.
With tire height it sits perfect at 4.5/2.5
5 inch westin protrax oval side step bars

The only work that had to take place for the tires to fit was moving the front plastic in an inch. 4 wheel parts did all the work
