Guys I need some advice. I’m fixing to swap out lights for LEDs. I’m trying to choose between Anzo or Spyder. What are your thoughts or opinions? Thanks in advance!

Yeah I’ve seen the 18s but not blown away by them. I’m pretty much sold on the two options I mentioned just wondering what the pros and cons are with them.

I have the spyder black smoked headlights with 35w 5500k HIDs and love them. The fit was great, but which ever you decided on, don't keep the halogen bulbs that come with them, just go ahead and swap to HID or LED right off the bat. I preferred the look of the spyders over the anzos and the fact that the spyder is a bi-zenon projector, so both low beam and hight beam are HID, where as the anzo lights run seperate bulbs for high & lows. The other reason I chose the spyders is because you can swap the factory leveling motors over to them and you can't with the anzos. I'm also running the smoked red spyder tails, but don't currently have any pics on my phone of them, but they have been problem free for the few months I have had them and they fit great also.

Nevermind, found a pic of the tails.

Thanks Chris. That’s good info. Did you order your HID bulbs? If so can you tell me where you got them?

Agreed. That is a fine ass truck you have Chris. I appreciate all your help too. I got my headlights and taillights ordered today! Hope you don’t mind I have one more question. Is the HID kit an easy install? I’m completely stupid when it comes to electrical issues.

    Thank you.

It's all plug and play, other than having to cut a hole in the bulb cover for the HID ballast wires to go through. The HID wires come with a grommet already on them, you just have to cut about a 3/4" hole in the cover for it to pop into. It's nothing a nice sharp razor blade and a somewhat steady hand can't handle.

If my shaky ass hands can do it, anyone can. I have a tremor that's bad enough any time I go somewhere, that people don't know me, they stop what they are doing to ask if I'm ok. So, if I did it and came away with all my fingers, you're good.

Ok, I searched some install videos and found what you’re talking about. I think I can handle that lol. Man you’ve been a huge help! Wish we could meet for a cold one. Now to order the bulbs.

    Just an opinion on this....

I too was looking at both options.
I went the the Anzo heads and tails for my own reasons but when it came to the bulbs/hid kit you need to consider GTR lighting. You will not regret buying the best available bulbs and HID kits on the market. Lifetime bulb replacement too! I did my whole truck, inside and out with GTR.... Thanks to the guys at Headlight Revolution! I could not be happier knowing that I will not be replacing bulbs every season, and when the day does come, it will be free.

Also worth mentioning, others that are running the spyder headlights, are using the hikari led headlight bulbs available on Amazon and are happy with the results and light output.
