Dual pipes Front & rear bumpers. lift.
Hello everyone! Just ran across this place and hope to learn a thing or two about the new ride. 2018 tundra 1794 lifted, gifted and all. Had the dealership take it to have an aftermarket front bumper installed before I picked it up. I note the radar cc is acting all freaky now. The aftermarket bumper has a bar that is partially covering the T logo in the middle of the grill. I'm told the logo also doubles as a cover, covering up the radar microwave antenna. Any one else dealing with this issue?

    Thanks Much!!

Welcome! It sounds like the new bumper is blocking the radar sensor in the T emblem of the grill. You may need to swap out the bumper or figure out another workaround.

Welcome from WI, Rick! Almost all manufacturers of bull bars, grill guards and full blown front bumpers includes a footnote of some sort that their product will interfere with adaptive cruise, safety sense braking, proximity sensors, etc. Unfortunately none of them offer a solution to the interference. The best bet is to talk to your dealer and see if they can extend the harness and relocate the sensor eye or if the feature can be turned off.

Wow! The new year has been very busy for me. Sorry it has taken so long to get back. Now the new year is rolling and stuff at my business is back to normal somewhat I will have more time to keep up with all of you guys. I have got to say from all the warm welcomes yall' know how to make a newbie feel welcome. After seeing all the "post are worthless with out pictures" thingy I have learned my lesson. Here are a few of the new ride. While I have not read the paperwork on the proximity sensors and radar cc warnings from the aftermarket bumper manufacturers I guess I will have to mark this one down to lesson learned. Always Read The Fine Print! A guy would think the aftermarket manufacturers would want to play nicely with the OEM guys. Oh Well. Just have to deal with it I guess.

    Thanks Guys!

Yes sir, I have started this process. So far the dealership has been very helpful as does the lift and custom shop. I was having a problem with the trailer break system. A new module is on the way for that. The radar CC with the aftermarket bumper is another story.

    Thanks Much!!

Welcome, Rick, from San Diego! I usually don't jump in to meet new members until pictures get posted. That's a cool truck; near you got the bumper you wanted.

This is the best forum anywhere! Like this guy: @RowdyRon totoally exemplifies the help and support passed around here!!
