There are so many great Mexican food places within a mile of me that it's always a debate about where to go. :argue:

My sons are into following the latest hip food truck on FB. They change location every night so they post it and then everyone shows up.

    Have you gone with them?
I've done that twice up in northern ca. They call it "moveable feast". There are some damn good food trucks out there!

That's big down here too! And that's how most of our local breweries are doing food, kind of a symbiotic beer & food vendors growing together thing. It's pretty fun!

I've gone a couple times. They usually tell me after the fact. I went to some sketchy place in DTLA to try Kogi BBQ, a Korean/Mexican fusion. Really good!

At Whittier and Atlantic they seem to have a semi-permanent thing going on. Lots of great food at very good prices. The market here is hyper-competitive. Great for us tho!

I don't know Riverside well, but one of the best sit-down restaurants I've ever been is Luna Mexican Kitchen in Corona. I went back several times one week I was in the area-- could not get enough!

I consider going up for an overnight just to eat and drink (there's a tequila bar as well: high quality sipping).

Also last time I was in SD my sister took me to some great food trucks at the corner of Friars Rd. & Las Cumbres iirc...

@Sunnier I'm intrigued by this Tequila bar. My gf has been on a tequila kick lately, it would be a mighty long drive but sounds like it's worth it.

It absolutely impressed me. I was in the area for a week-long class. Stayed in one of several hotels within walking distance (hint, hint! skip the drive; drink more tequila). There's a pub nearby that's good for casual drinking, several other quality choices for food, but I loved this place so much, I had dinner maybe 3 times, and by week's end, all my classmates were eating lunch there with me.

I've got a buddy who lives in downtown Riverside (not at from the old Riverside hotel) where there's other good options, but he always concedes to eat here with me because it's awesome!

It's been over a year since I've been, but it was so quality, I'd check current yelp reviews and, unless they point out a down turn, make the drive for a destination date with your honey. I haven't found any sit-down Mexican food restaurant in SD I like so well.

Here's what's up on Mexican food: If you're in East County Estrada's on Magnolia in Santee Period. They have the best carne's. For ceviche it's Los Rancheritos in Lakeside at Lake Jennings and El Monte. If you're buying beans rice salsa and corn tortillas Garcias Mercado in El Cajon off East Main.
If you want the absolute best carne aside to grill for yourself it's gotta be Santa Fe Meats in Chula Vista off of Main Street. And the best flour tortillas in the universe are made right down the street at Otay Farms store at the intersection of Main and broadway..Check em out plus Tacos El Gordo on H Street in Chula Vista is always legit!

I've been going there since 93' They have a few other locations in Santee but I prefer this one. I know the owners they are good people. I always get the carne with pico Mexican guac with cheese and their green salsa.

Yep. Lots of times when I worked at a cable company. In my case, I think it was because I am female with long hair, and was working in an unconventional job. In your case, it's probably because you're good looking and have great social skills! :humble:

Coax cable installer, then repair tech, then supervisor.

You'll be okay! Do you have to speak, or just do stuff? Usually the film crew will have someone good at putting you at ease. They'll just keep repeating til it looks okay-- sometimes that gets tedious. But at least that sometimes makes the nervousness go away.

Let us know when it's happening, so we can be... supportive. :boink:

Yep, don't typically see women installers. That's awesome!
Yep, I basically get a set of points I need to cover and then just go for it. Idk exactly. Going to a meeting for it at 1 today and then filming all day tomorrow.
It's about the crazy exciting world of floor mats  haha

It's exciting to get them! A video about the differences between floor liners, floor mats, and universal fit mats may be less exciting.

Idk, I have my meeting with them in an hour. Maybe it will be exciting with the power of editing I could be a bear or an eagle!
So what you're saying is this is all your fault! LOL

I'm sure it'll be smooth. Just letting my nerves get to me haha.

Btw- next Thursday (1/11) will be another meet up! I'll keep you all posted on where, but at the moment it's looking like it'll be Brewskie's bar off Miramar Rd next to The Truck Shop.
