I have a blue 18 tundra i’m Planning on getting some wheels which ones you guys think would be best 18inch TRD for $500 just wheels no sensor or tires I would also plastic dip them full black or power coated black. Or these other ones with everything for about $1100 size 18 as well

Welcome from CO. Tough choice. The TRDs are nice but will you get tires for them? The other set with rims and tires are nice too!

I would put on the stock tires and sensors ones from mine for now till I can buy some A/T tires. Because the fuel wheels have MT tires and that will kill my MPG a lot more no? Also I’ve heard they are more of a rough ride than the AT tires?

Sounds like A/Ts are a better fit for you. TRDs + OEM tires, save some scratch>>> new A/Ts. Now ask us what is a good A/T tire.....and hang on.....

I mean if I go with choice 2 I would have to keep the wheels it wouldn’t make sense to replace them so quickly they only have 500 miles on them. What are you guys thought on MT vs AT the ko2 are AT no? I’m just doing highway driving and some off-roading not to much

I'm not a fan of the Fuel center caps, that's just me. But I like the Trail Graps and if they've only got 500 miles on 'em you'd be getting the wheels basically free. So, get both and put the tires on the TRD wheels....:D

I personally am going to buy the fn bfd wheels pair it with a 35” tire or 37 because they are light if you’re a person that goes after performance not looks like I do. Rock warrior wheels are light but kind of hard to find since it’s discontinued, Volks te37 are stupid expensive but are light too.

Ditto on the TRD powdercoat. My Trail Grapplers wore down fairly quick from the tread depth pictured on the Graps...

I'm suprised how many people are voting TRD wheels. Seems like everyone always votes for aftermarket these days perhaps because of the offset..

The powder coated TRD rims would go great with the Blue.

Being that I’m putting my stock tires first should I wait to powder coat them when I buy the bigger tires? So that they don’t get scratched during the removal and installation of the new tires?

I know they look badass lol just can’t afford them plus the shipping and etc. they would be sold by the time I got the money together lol it’s why I was mainly leaning towards the cheap road of $500 for the trds lol

Well, the TRDs powder coated gloss black are the same wheel as the TRD Pro wheels, the only difference is the Toyota emblem or TRD on the center cap. If you like them then, I would say that is the way to go. I would go ahead and powder coat them now, if the tire shop isn't some crap shop, then they shouldn't ever touch the wheels and if they do, they are responsible for the damage.

Do you think it’s worthy paying $1000 for ones already gloss black trd pro wheels or 500 for the ones above and just get them powder coated? Will it cost me $500 to have them coated?
