Sounds nice! The girl wants to move over to Saracuse.... I've been dropping subtle hints of staying on the east bench but I might be more out your way come sooner or later. Haha

You know I'm always down for some man hunt action. I've got a suction cup mount for the AR if you just want to ride in the bed (we shouldn't do that because it's illegal though. Haha

Kearns really is a dump. People talk crap on rose park but my usual reply is "have you even heard of Kearns?".
Everyone in my area swears by home security. Which is funny because none have cameras. Just glass breakers and alarms. They'll learn someday... It's just the pit bull, Rottweiler and 12 gauge that works best. Not pugs and glass breakers.

What? Pugs aren’t great guard dogs?

    Buahhhhaaahhaaa

I may have my lady talked into an East Asian Shepherd. Boerboel was my first pick, but she didn’t want my kids eaten by mistake. Lol

Someone kicked in my back door in the middle of the night when I lived in North Dakota. After that we installed a security system, a 6" privacy fence, bought a 3rd handgun, planted thorny bushes under all of our windows and bought a black Boerboel.

The wife didn't really want another dog, but she changed her mind when I pointed out that dogs don't run out of ammo and they rarely miss their target.

Our Boerboel is kind of a runt at 5 years old and 100 lbs. Her mom is 130 lbs and her dad is 160 lbs. Her dad competes in schutzhund (guard dog competition).

It's a great breed. Incredibly athletic, but totally mellow in the house and no drooling. She's great with kids, even kids she's not familiar with that play rough and get in her face. But she's very protective of our family and property when other dogs and men come around.

We watch her closely around strangers and other dogs because, if it ever happened, a bite could be devistatingly bad with how strong her mouth is, but so far she seems satified with blocking and intimidating threats botb of which she's very good at.

She even scares me sometimes when she walks up to me in the dark and I don't see her until she's a few feet away.

We have no concerns about her hurting children. We've seen her take a lot of crap from kids without even hinting any aggression or defensive posturing. When kids get too rough she just leaves them and finds me so I stop them.

Just remember that all guarding breeds will be more dominant, strong willed and more likely to bite that non-guarding breeds on average, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they will all be unpredictable.

Ours doesn't like letting people in the house, but once we invite them inside she treats them like family.

Choose a responsible, experienced (professional) breeder and socialize your dog from early on and you shouldn't have any issues with a Boerboel. (Also teach your kids to respect the dog and how to treat it well and you won't have any issues.)

I looked into the Boerboel....until I seen the price of puppies. ~3000.00 was a bit much for a quality dog, but then again most exotic breeds are gonna run 1500-2000.00.
The reason I was looking at the farm dog was exactly the reason you stated. Excellent dogs with a wonderful temperament. I’m still looking into them, and have some emails out to some breeders.

Damn dude that sucks, it’s a shame you have to worry about that happening in your own garage. I’m glad you got it back. Those OD P01’s are a thing of beauty.

What the hell? I imagine there are a finite number of car fobs set to different frequencies or coded a certain way.. Is that what he did? Driving around pressing the button on some key fob sim until a door unlocked? What a piece of shit - he didn't even close your door.

What did he take? Seemed like he found something good because he got out of there in a hurry once he found it..

Yeah. The thing is someone was clearly stalking houses in my area. We live in a new construction area right on the side of the mountain. The area is fairly nice and crime rates here are low. We just happened to win the stupid lottery that night. This is part of the reason I am armed daily - doesn't matter where you are, bad shit can happen. I have since installed cameras in the garage and added both the side and automatic garage door to the alarm system.

He got a pistol....according to ford who sent a couple guys down from Michigan only 2 fobs were ever paired. They were puzzled as more lights came on than when a fob is used. Whatever it was overtook the entire system. I got my gun back....he tried to pawn it....he got 4 years. I posted this video to a gun and a coin board I was on and it went viral

Smart enough to use some car door opening device, dumb enough to try to pawn a stolen firearm. Glad you got it back.

I wonder if more lights come on as part of the device's features - that way it's clear when you successfully matched a code and opened a car. It lights up like Christmas.

About 2 weeks ago a guy using some sort of device got into 5 vehicles like that. No damage so that was a plus. My tundra, neighbors Chevy, other neighbors 2 fords and a third neighbors dodge.
Got him on video but can’t id him.
