Haha nice! Spur the moment trips are a blast!

I've been in SD for ~4 years now and have yet to attend or even people watch Comic Con, it's on my to-do list though! Looks like a lot of fun

In for wheeling and beer drinking!
There's some cool spots not too far from SD, easy for a quick trip.

Haha it's alright  There will be more but we tend to float around the Miramar area more frequently since it's the most central location for most that come.
Pacific Islander Beer Co was good, I only had one beer there and it was ok. Wasn't thrilled, but willing to give it another go and try at least two more.
Burning Beard has GREAT beer, I've yet to have one I don't like. Nice variety too.

Well then, I'll look over your posts for tips on local wheeling spots. Also picked up several area maps, ready to be adventurous!

Santee has several breweries. Good you're willing to try PIBC again, but definitely no reason to "settle" for it. BNS in Santee puts out some tasty stuff in a casual environment (on nights they don't have a food truck, you can bring in food. Felipi's Pizza is nearby....)

You guys should plan a trip to Temecula! Garage Brew, 8 Bit Brewery, Inland Wharf are all good spots!

Yes! Been to BNS before, great spot. Also like it because they have a pet cat there haha.
We went there for a friend's "last meet" before he moved to AZ and brought 3 costco pizzas. I think we all hit a food coma by the end of the night haha. Started giving pizza to the guy behind the bar

I'm game. A bit far for a Thursday night, but a Saturday would work for me

    Hahaha :fistbump:

We could always meet in the middle? Went to Belching Beaver in Vista last Thursday. It's about right smack in the middle. Still a decent trek, about 40 minutes from you, and about the same for us.

It's changed a lot since the last time I was there, they opened up some walls and made the inside MUCH nicer!

Ok I shouldn't say I'm old but definitely I'm at an age when my body cannot handle the abuse anymore like when I was in my 20s lol . I'm good with riverside/ temecula area, it's probably a 40 min drive from where I live. I live off of the 15fwy going toward Vegas, so I'm also very close to big bear. Probably 30-40 min drive as well, if you guys ever want to do a trip up the mountain. I'm just waiting for some snow so the wife and I can go snowboarding :annoyed:

We've gone to comic con I think 6 years running :woot:
Tickets are not easy to get, and even though we are eligible for pre sale that doesn't guarantee we get tickets that year. :( I want to say we've only been able to get tickets during early registration twice and still had to try with general sale every time. Comic Con is awesome but it gets bigger and bigger every year. The crowds can be insane at times. We bring my niece and nephew with us every year and they enjoy it a lot. Now if I could just convince my wife and teenagers to dress up in costume with me that would be awesome lol :angrygirl:

Oh yeah you're up there then. My buddy used to live not too far from you, after suspension changes we would go to "Big Boy Trails" (that's our nickname for it) some very mild fun little trails to explore just off the road -

Cool, I think temecula would be a good middle ground for a trail run. We have a few where I'm at but it might be far for the SD members :(

Cool, calimesa is close. Me and my wife's cousin went up to cleghorn a few weeks ago. It was a pretty good trail. It took about 3 hours to do the whole thing.

Good day gentleman! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I ate way too much! :hungry: And drank enough to drown a small village in Africa! :drunk:

What up Paul! I'm still recovering from my food coma. The wife and I went to Africa for our honeymoon earlier this year. It is entirely possible you drank enough to drown a small village in Africa

Haven't been to PC in quite a few years. The last time I did it in about 11-12 hours hard driving. I'm too old for that now! All my family is in SLC, Provo, and Brigham City.

    Doh!
You're a good guy, Marty, not throwing me down for being a super-dork o_O . Clearly, I hadn't looked over the thread to see all I missed. Looks like some very accessible roads close to Temecula, and y'all are well along in agreement on a Saturday play date.
    Happy Friday, Paul!
