I'm looking to get a little more sound out of my '18 CM Limited. I want it to sound more like a truck should, without breaking the bank. Are there any low budget options to give it a little more "throaty" sound? If I go too loud, my wife won't be very happy (like everything, she'd get over it...lol). Not looking to be overly loud, I just want it to rumble a bit when I blow by the competition. TRD dual exhaust is above what I want to spend...taking my wife to Fiji next year ate into my budget a little bit. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

The 8" from @dirtydeeds sounds good. You won't regret it or Fiji either. Which island are you going to? Keep a good eye on your stuff there, I encountered a surprising amount theft on Viti Levu.

The main island...Viti Levu...2 resorts. 5 nights at each. Both dive resorts- Waidroka Bay, and Volivoli. I'll be doing one of the premier shark dives in the world there. It's normal to see large numbers of Bull and Tiger sharks; up to 14'...that'll get the adrenaline pumping!

I’ve got @dirtydeeds 8” system as well. Added a nice sound without being obnoxious. I’m running mine without the resonator.

I replaced my stock muffler with a Magnaflow 50 series. Sounds real good at full throttle but I can feel the loss of low end torque and climbing hills in low rpm's fills the cabin with drone.

    Not nearly enough room here!
I've had Keith's 10" catback on my 2010 for several years now. Couldn't ask for better sound. Mild enough for towing but will growl just fine when I want:D. Being single-side, stock size pipe, and Custom Made for my truck; no grunt-loss.

I went with a cherrybomb vortec, dual in dual out, with x pipe. I am really happy with it for now. No drone no low end loss. I did this as a temp scratch i had to itch. Sometime in the near future I will be going with long tube headers and dirtydeeds system.

i used the 50 series flowmaster, i think my new truck the 2018 is different from the 2016 in that the 18 has a one in and 2 out, old school rumble with a little drone when new but now not so much, not to noisy, just enough to piss off the old lady, love it, $300 installed switched to dual out exhaust

I have the 6” from BAMuffler @dirtydeeds. I like it and it definately sounds like a truck. At this point I wish I went with the 8” for a little less noise and a little deeper.

Custom fab'd dual in/dual out internal cross thru Flowmaster 40 with black matte tips. Zero drone, no low end torque loss, and sounds very bad ass when I get on it. At idle...very nice low throaty sound...

Thanks for all the help guys! Even though it's above what I was planning on spending, I'm going with the 8" BA Muffler from @dirtydeeds. I got in a rush job that paid double my normal rate, so my budget will allow it.
If anyone is thinking about this system, give Keith a call...he's a great guy to deal with. He answered all my questions quickly and intelligently...and I had a bunch. I can't wait to pull up next to a Hyundai with a fart-muffler and let them hear what real power sounds like.

I may want one in the future after I pay down my credit card. I have the 2018 crewmax. Anyone know any HP and torque gains with the 8" system? Also for anyone to answer, why this over say the flowmaster 40 series with dual in and dual out? Just want opinions
Also, why stainless steel vs regular?

It’s not all that much louder. The 6” mufflers are only in the 6” system to clean up the sound. Not to make it quieter. They’re both very aggressive when on the throttle. Yet in most cases stock quiet when just cruising.

What is more beneficial, or what's the difference between a single in and dual out or a dual in to dual out and dual in to single out as well as stainless steel and aluminum steel? I have a 2018 tundra 5.7 V8

Honestly, if you’re running stock exhaust manifolds single is more beneficial. Both make the same peak numbers. But single makes better low end torque.

The budget system is only slightly louder. The 6” system is just a little cleaner sounding.
