So I had my new tires put on today, but they were rubbing on my UCAs. Just BARELY, but rubbing nonetheless. Ended up ordering a set of 4 1” spacers.
For those of you running spacers, when you had them installed did you use loc-tite or do you just re-torque them every few thousand miles or what??
I read somewhere that they need to be tightened every thousand miles, which seems like it would be super annoying.

I used a couple drops of medium strength lock tite on mine. Theoretically you should not need lock tite, just like you don’t need it on your wheel lugs. Make sure you do not over torque the nuts if you use any sort of loctite, it acts as a lubricant and can cause you to over tension and potentially yield the stud.

Treat them as another part of your maintenance routine. Just check them every now and then, you won't have any problems. I used to check mine every 5000 miles.

Hey, just wondered how the spacers worked out for you? I've got some rubbing on my Camburg UCA's and I'm considering wheel spacers as well. Running 285/70/18's on standard rims, lots of tread, so likely won't be swapping them out soon. Reading about this and found some people mentioned having to cut the wheel studs down if they went with anything less that 1.5" spacers. I'm not opposed to going to 2" spacers, but if I only need 1.25" or 1.5" to eliminate the rubbing, than so be it, but I don't want to cut the studs... I've only had the truck for a couple months, just learning the ropes, hoping this question isn't a dumb one. Any advice you can offer would be much appreciated!

Oh, and should I stick with Bora, or are some of the other spacers fine as long as they have the lip and are made from T6 Aircraft Billet? Thanks again!

Spidertrax, I got them from @ToyTec Lifts, great service, forum discount. Loctite, check them after about 500-1000 miles. I got 1.25 and didn't need to cut the existing studs. I thought about the Bora's, but there's a thread on here about the counter bore being too shallow. Don't know if that's common, but it sent me to the Spidertrax. By the way, Spidertrax spell check wants me to use Aspidistra, huh?

@john did you use lug nuts that came with spacers, or did you go with a longer one? I watched a video of an installation and mechanic was like throw them away. Essentially he went with a longer lug, which makes sense. Just curious. Thanks

I used the ones that came with it. Everything fit just fine.

How is everything going for you with these spacers up to now? Any issues? I'm looking to do something like this and wanted as much feedback as possible. I love my TSS off-road package with the nice black 20" rims, just wish they stick out a bit more. I'm wondering of 1.25 would be best for me? My tires are 285 55 r20
