This one seems a little strange. I just noticed that when I turn off the recirculate and turn the fan dial to off, it starts blowing. If I have the middle dial on AC, it'll start blowing AC. If it's on heat, it'll blow heat. If the recirculate is on, the fan dial operates correctly.
Any ideas on this before I bring it to the dealership? I'm afraid they'll pull apart my dash or something and then they'll never put it back the same way. Friggin' turds.
    I have a 2017 TRD Pro.

Don't have an answer but, your not alone. Mine has a mind of its own sometimes. Next oil change I'm going to have them look into it. Hopefully it's something that tecstream can fix

I can push the A/C button and turn it off.

With the recirculation off you are getting outside air blowing in the vent from the movement of the vehicle. I'll bet with the vehicle stopped you feel nothing.... I'll bet you are just feeling cool air blowing in from the outside, you are not feeling the A/C. It you turn up the heat you will feel the air going through the heater core, but it is not being assisted by the fan. Just put on over 800 miles yesterday and had the fan off most of the time and just regulated the temp with the temperature knob. If you do not want any air blowing at all just turn on the recirculation button.

Thanks everyone. I searched but wasn't sure what to search for. It threw me off when I had it on heat and then it came out hot but it makes sense that it's blowing over the heater core. I put it on AC, turned it off and had the recirculate button off and couldn't tell if it was AC air or the air coming from outside (it's been unusually cold here). I never noticed it before but I may have just not been paying attention to it.

    2010 Toyota Tundra.
Dealer wanted $110 to "diagnose" what they designed it to do and turn off the "feature".
I wasted my lunch hour on the phone with corporate.
Then searched Google with the right term. I popped the hood, driver side bottom of radiator, unplugged ambient temperature sensor.
    Problem solved.
Boohoo, I have to look at phone to get outside temperature now.
    Happy trucking!
