Either I do a CMC for my new tires (295/70r18 on an 18x9 +12 wheel) or I get new wheels. Moving the caster more positive is not an option.

4wp has a pretty great deal on Method wheels right now.. I can get $1000 worth of Method wheels for $765 - $820 depending on which style I get. I figure the time is right for new wheels.

What say you, fellow truck nerds? Which wheels wiggle your willy? (I love alliteration!)

I love black wheels on an MGM but I also love the contrast of the bronze. I'm having a hard time deciding.

These are all either +18 or +25 offset wheels. I'm wondering if I can get away with a +18 or if I should just go all the way to a +25. Does anyone have any input there? I'm effectively running a 34.25x12.00x18 tire - can I squeeze it in with a +18 offset? I just barely hit the CM at full wheel lock with my current +12 wheels. Figuring this out might simplify my decision..

As always, thanks everyone for your input and help!

On its own, I like the NV bronze best, but not sure what it would look like on MGM. It's different though, and I like to be different. Otherwise, I like the Mesh in matte black. I'm sure it would be good on MGM

My vote is leaning towards NV in bronze, just because I almost bought those but chickened out on the bronze.

I have a set of black NV with some 295/70 STT Pros being installed as we speak. I'll let you know how they come out as far as rubbing.

I got my wheels from Discount Tire Direct for about $775 shipped after a rebate. I think they price matched either Summit or 4wheelparts and beat them by about $30. They also gave me a deal on a set of Gorilla lugs for $30. Originally they wanted around $60 or $70 for the lugs. Tires were about $990 shipped from Tirebuyer, less about $50 in cash back via ebates.

I called out to Discount today to see if they would price match or beat - waiting for a call back. The price you mention is about what I'm seeing @ 4wp shipped too. I've spent probably $10k over the years at Discount so they damn well better hook me up!

That Roost in bronze. Or be more original and order style you like and custom powder coat. Check VMR website if you want some ideas. They have some awesome looking blacks and bronze spin off colors. Maybe get a local pc to duplicate if you see one you like. I'm partial to glossy finish. Shine on you crazy diamond.

Discount can get the NV Bronze for me by early next week, $770 before tax. Really a fantastic price..

They can do the Roosts for $764 but they are a few weeks out.

Unless you're in a lease or plan to trade in shortly, I would do the CMC first regardless.

You will want the CMC eventually...inevitably.

How often do we see people unhappily downsize and head down a purchase path with a ton of wasted money in their wake.

New wheels are a bandaid, some a very ugly bandaid - especially if you already like your existing wheels.

I don't know that I'll ever go bigger than 295/70r18. I'm not downsizing, I upsized and my current, more-negative offset leads to rubbing. I don't mind the CMC but if possible to avoid I'd rather go that route. I understand you and agree with what you're saying though.

@Backslider I got my truck back with the NV's and 295/70R18 STT Pro's yesterday. No rubbing yet. I have maybe 1/2" of clearance from the body mount when nearing full lock. Couldn't detect any rubbing with some limited testing. I'm going to try to get the mudflaps back on and maybe use some heat to mold them. The Pro's are about 34.5x12 according to Cooper, so slightly bigger than what you're running. I'd probably go with the NV's with the 25mm offset to play it safe. I think they're also the best looking of the wheels you're looking at. Although, the Mesh is up there, too. Get the bronze!

I say just do the cmc. It’s cheaper and you will never have a problem later. If done right it looks stock. If you had to buy new wheels go w a +25 offset. My vote is scs ray10’s :goingcrazy:

I know mine are 20s, but for a reference... I have 20x9 +18 wheels. According to Cooper’s website, my STT Pros are 34.29x11.50x20. I clear the cab mount, even at full lock. I did have to push the front wheel liner in to keep from rubbing it.
