What is the best phone holder/mount that you guys have found and use? Pros and cons?

What location did you put it?

Window suction cup, vent mount, double sided tape, cup holder mount, non 4x4 switch blank location, custome mount?

    Universal or phone specific?

Here are some mount options i have found.

    Oh one or two.
I just put my Note 5 right on the console it fits perfect! Not sure if it's the same on the 2nd Gen.

With the gen3 there's a few spots u can place it. I usually just stick it next to the shifter.

Usually my truck mounts mine somewhere deep between the seat and center Console near the floor...

I use the Scosche "MagicMount Window"... I mount it to the windscreen very close to the "A" pillar, I'll get pics tomorrow of where it is mounted. I am trying to find a better place for it, but this works alright for now.

It's a magnetic mounting system that works very well... I doubt many of you have the same smart phone as I do... Sonim XP7... it's a brick, easily two, maybe three, times heavier than most smart phones... it hasn't fallen off the magnetic perch in either of my trucks. I imagine it would be pretty good off road, but not sure.

Can you take a side shot showing the bracket and how it is connected to your dash. That spot looks like you could use the phone as an emergency dash cam.

I saw this one. Has good reviews. Most say it is solid. I am getting a leather wallet case to fit a credit card and drivers license so i dont think i can put the metal part on the back of the phone.
Would be a god choice otherwise.

Thinking on my 2nd Gen the best location is between the vent and 4x4 switch for a double sided sticky tape mount. Just not sure which mout to go with yet.

    Location like this:

I loved my techdeck in my Tacoma! Anyone know of anything like this for the Tundras?

Those look like the Ram Mount X-GRIP series. I am leaning towards those myself.

They are the X-Grips, but a pair of guys on TW called bird dawg (inc? industries?, something) made a metal plate that fit above the knobs and allowed you to fix the ram mount balls to it. It was pretty awesome, only fits in a Tacoma though.

That set up I have is unbeatable, many years of trial and error I came up with mixing a proclip mount and a slip grip holder!

Added a wireless charger to the holder and wired it straight to its own fuse so it will charge while the truck is off! Boom genius

Looks kinda of ghetto but you can't tell at all, the wires and everything is run out of sight for the most part!
