We got very lucky. Almost got evacuated but they were able to contain the fire. Not as big as whats going on now

I'm in Menifee (Riverside County) and there are a few small scattered fires in the area that started up today...so far, so good.

Don't leave your pets outside. Or else, they might have many creature friends to meet that are also trying to escape their burning homes.:deadhorse:

Its been a rough couple of years. Last year, the big fire in Calaveras county came within 50 feet of our property line. This year we've had major fires in the Napa area, and now in the LA area. But by the grace of God go I, as the saying goes.

I'm just a few miles away from the Bel Air fire. Stayed home for the past couple of days and got the truck ready to load out. Good for now but ready to leave at a moments notice.

    Thanks for checking

I'd do it in a heartbeat if I could convince the wifel unit. As I understand it, however, many of the California crazies have been infesting places like CO and TX lately. Hope they don't destroy it before I get there.

    Good here in the OC.

Our area was affected a couple months ago so there wasn't a lot left to burn.

    Winds finally died down tonight.
