Hello everyone. New to the forum (first day!) Need a lil education in shackles. Is additional rear lift (rake) the only benefit w/aftermarket shackles over OEM? Recently installed PC 6” stage 2 lift and lost factory rake. Rear is now1/2”-1” lower than front. Waiting to see how much front coilovers relax, but thinking CB shackles may be the answer due to spring fatigue. Not sure if this is best route for 1” rear lift to improve rake. What other benefits would I gain from a shackle install?

“Extended” is the key adjective of note for this inquiry.

Checked w/David @ Ekstrom re: coachbuilder shackle “+3” description. I found out this description refers to 3” of extended shackle length vs the stock shackle length. As a result of this length increase, user can expect a rear lift or frame height increase of 1.75”.

So would anyone venture to guesstimate how much higher the rear would be with 6112's up front set to 2.5" and the CB+3 shackles out back?

Extended shackles are just a way to lift the rear of the truck. Another way is to install blocks between the axle and leaf Spring.

Look at Toytec Lifts for nice cheaper shackles that are adjustable between 1” and 1.5” rear lift height.

Yea, my deal is I already have the CB+3's and was considering the 6112's set high up front since they seem nice and can be had for $699 shipped. I was also looking at the boss setup as well. I'd like something that wont have a gnarly rake with this shackle I already own. Thanks for the reply.

Go with the Toytec Boss and adjust the coilover to the height you think looks the best.

That's what I was leaning towards. I just hope the rake isn't going to be silly with the +3 shackles in the back. I guess if it is, I'll just sell the shackles and get the adjustable one. Thx...

Id def recommend the Bilstein 6112s over the Boss CO's Both run a 700Lbs coil but the 6112s are designed much stronger overall. Set the 6112s on the top setting (2.5") and then using 2 of our shims on the driver side and 1 on the passenger side you'll achieve a level stance side to side at 3" up front. Using the 2 shims on the driver side you're correcting the left front corner lean all while keeping the preload the same on each side. With our +3"s in the rear you'll measure about 1" taller, this stance is perfect and works excellent with the traction control. If you need any help sizing anything for your build you're welcome to call in direct. Im happy to help David 801-635-4872

4" from bolt center to bolt center. Your shackles you posted are factory, Our Coachbuilder shackles eliminate any side to side flex, correct pivot providing a smoother ride and increase lift depending on the size you choose.
