285/65/20 is basically a 34.6” tire. It might fit with a stock offset but with +25, it will definitely rub the front liner, mudflaps, and will be really close to the cab mount. I have a 34.4” MT tire with +25 but didn’t need a CMC but am really close. Impossible to say for sure because it also depends on your UCAs and your caster. Like I said, there’s a good chance you won’t need a CMC, but I don’t want to say you won’t incase you do need it. Personally I would try it or get a 295/60/20. In between the two.

I'd be perfectly happy with a 295/60/20 I think. That's only about 39.4" diameter and 11.6" wide. You think that should clear everything okay?

It’s about a 33.9”. You still might rub the front liner a little but you’ll clear the cab mount. Check out @r4z0r51o ’s build. He has flares and has tried a lot of different combinations with 20’s.

Hey Zack. Just put on these bushwhacker pocket flares a couple weeks ago. Here are a few before/after pics so you can see the flare coverage. Tires are 35x12.5/18 on a 4.5 in lift. Don't know exact offset of rims tho. Your rim guy should be able to calculate offset for desired tire position. Mine were out about 2in and ended up slightly outside of the flares. Stance looks good tho. Definitely don't want to have the tucked in look when you do it.

Your truck looks sick. I couldn't quite convince myself to do a 4.5 inch lift but your stance is mean and your truck's image will now forever be burned I'm my mind. Thanks for the pictures and the info!

Does anyone have some pictures of a 2” leveling kit with 285/75 in stock trd off road wheels? Perhaps 295/70/18 also?

Just got my 2017 CM 4X4 and would like to know if 18x9 with +18mm offset will work with 32" tires (same overall diameter as oem) on STOCK height. No level and lift. Thanks.

    I’m getting 20x9 bs4.53 bore 110.2 with a -12 offset.

Can anyone explain or show a pic of what that would look like?

Check out @CMLenny's build in the 3rd gen builds page. He ran that size on Bilstein 5100's for awhile before upgrading to 37's.

Anyone running a set of Method Vex? I've looked around and have found very few Tundras with this wheel. I'm trying to decide between the Vex and the NV with Cooper STT PROs. If I stick with 18's I'll just go with 275/70. If I go down to 17's, I'll do 295/70. Thoughts or suggestions?

I've been happy with the STT Pros. Now I gotta go look up the Vex, doesn't sound familiar.

    Bone stock.
So, for the 2018s, is this list updated?
Also, regarding the 20" wheels above, it shows the same width as factory. Is it possible to go wider without going up to 21s or 22s? Or would I just go with 295s or 305s? If I'm at that point, am I gonna have to cut the wheel wells? thx

the 2018's are still a 3rd gen and I don't think there were any changes from the previous years so these lists still apply. you do not have to go to a larger wheel to get wider tire. you could also fit a 295/55/20 without a lift, but you will have to remove the little front mud flap. you can check out my build thread for pictures. I leveled the front (1.5"), but these tires will fit without a lift.

2015 Crewmax, Fuel Cleaver 20x9 +20 offset with DuraTrac 275/60R20, no lift. Decent rub in front drivers side at full turn in reverse. 3/1 leveling kit on the way.

Cooper STT Pro 295/70R18 on Method NV 25mm offset. No rub. Mud flaps removed, aftermarket bumper, 3” lift, trimmed skid plate but don’t think I needed to. Tires stick out of fenders about 2”. Gravel roads did some damage today. Need to modify my mud flaps and get them back on ASAP!

I am looking to buy my first Toyota Tundra in February. Have essentially found the truck I want:

    2018 CrewMax SR5 (Silver Sky)

I've been reading this thread for a few days (extremely helpful, you all are awesome / nuts about your trucks) and am looking for help.

Basically, there is a truck in my work office park that I love. I got in touch with the owner but she bought the truck used and doesn't know all the details of the modifications.

What I want to know is if the white truck in the pictures below has any mods (eg. lift / leveling, spacers, etc.) other than the BFG KO2s.

I'd like to know what I'm getting into before buying my Tundra and if I can just put on a set of KO2s and roll!!

Falken Wildpeak AT3W 35x12.50 r17 on Icon Six Speed wheels. King suspension ended up with 2 3/4" front lift. Rubbing on mount till I did a BMC. Also removed front mud flaps and pushed the wheel well liner forward as far as it would go. Perfect now.IMG_2802[1].jpg IMG_2810[1].jpg

Hard to tell from that angle on the white one. Pics looking down the side and from the side would be beneficial, pics of the front coil overs and of the rear axle/leaf springs would be easiest to tell. Doesn’t look like there are wheel spacers.

How’s it going. First post for me. I just got my 2017 SR5 4x4 for Christmas. I have some left over Fuel 20x9 +20 offset with 275/55/20 Wild Peaks that are still pretty damn new. It’s from a Chevy so I have 5 to 6 lug adapters coming that are 2inch. How far out will these sit, and will I need to lift or do any trim work to make it happen. I’m looking for a wide stance. Also I know I should probably sell those rims for 5 lugs but the kids drained the reserve funds for now. Thanks.

I can get a deal on a set of 20x9 XD Heist wheels only thing I'm concerned about is they are -24 offset. Currently I have a 3/1 readylift and 18x9 with -12 and 35" tires. I had to do a good bit of trimming just to get those to fit. How much more will I need to do to get the XD's to fit and what size tire would you guys recommend?
