It will always bring up the radio screen at boot up if you turn your vehicle off while the radio is playing.

I downloaded YouTube from the Play Store. You will have to use a reputable 3rd party app store such as Aptoide to install Netflix and other apps that the Play Store won't allow you to install.

You don't need Wifi to use the stock radio. Do you use a separate app to stream local radio?

Now this is determination at it's best.... The struggle is real.. someone should go back to the vendor and request an additional group discount as you guys have identified more than half of their defects, pain points and made the corrections.

That's a good thing because I've been reading reviews for the Sirius XM app for Android and their last update has broken a lot of functions.

The vender needs to also update the OS to at least Nougat so we can use the latest apps versions from the Play Store instead of having to use 3rd party app stores to install older versions. Even with the older versions, they still aren't optimized for this unit/tablet like Netflix.

It's strange how we can't mirror the latest Android flagship phones such as the S8 and the Note 8 but I can mirror my old iPhone 6S Plus.

I did that QR code thing. It downloaded some apps on both unit and phone but it still doesn't work. I think it's just the phones are so new and the OS isn't backwards compatible.

I did enable USB host on the unit and USB debugging on my phone but still didn't work. The unit sees it but wouldn't start the mirroring. I'll try it again and get a pic of the results. Would you happen to know the password to get into developer options on the unit?

Try downloading the usb debugging app onto the HU if you are just trying to access the debugging through the HU
no i haven't tried to get in through the HU but this is how i got into it through my phone but dont know if it works on the HU being its not a phone
    1. Go to the settings menu, and scroll down to "About phone." Tap it.
    2. Scroll down to the bottom again, where you see "Build number." (Your build number may vary from ours here.)
    3. Tap it seven (7) times.

That is exactly I get as well with my Samsung S8+. I emailed the seller and here is their reply:

"If you enabled usb debugging, and chose always allow when prompted, then it may be that your phone is not compatible."

I just found a way to stop it from going straight to app search after boot up. Go into Nova Launcher settings > Apps and widget drawers > under app search, disable persistent search bar above apps.
