I always worry if a manufacturer has to blow out $10,000 on their product, what's the issue?
However hopefully it fits the bill and doesn't cause major headaches and does what you require.

For sure stick around and share how the journey goes. You will either be able to strengthen the pro's or cons and maybe help others in similar positions.
    Best of luck!!

Let us know how it's working out for you. I previously had two Titans (04 & 05) and I nearly bought a 2017 5.6 gasser Pro-4x right before I bought my Tundra.

Well that all depends on what he got for the Tundra.

Exactly. I always hear of these fantastic deals people are getting, then they mention they traded something in. That's not to say this guy didn't get a good deal, but more often than not the dealer bends you over on one side of the deal or the other.

I'm thinking the dealer would make a decent deal. Especially with a high value used Tundra to sell. I love it when I go to my local Toyota dealer and see all the "big three" trucks on the used lot for sale.

The fact that you got a real rear locker is big time good. I got my 09 Taco and my 07 from Tynan's Nissan just down the road. Same salesman. I stop by to shoot the sh*t occasionally so I've had the chance to check out the Titan. Still love my Tundra but the fact is Nissan did their homework. Nissan knows what truck owners want. Time for Toyota to step up to the plate. Er....or check out Tundras.com

I thought this over carefully. The dodge is a great diesel but still a work truck that I don' want to unload all the time. I had all 3 gens from Toyota waiting for a diesel but they just never seem to follow thru. I didn' buy the nissan because it' a nissan it' the same reason I got the dodge not because of dodge but because of the Cummins engine. So most of the problems appear to be from 16. Still heard about some on the 17 but I have wanted one since they came out finally decided to pull the trigger. The reason I didn' get a full 3/4 ton is because I didn' want a truck that big for when I'm not working. I have been driving the gas version till mine comes in Tue. Not to upset anybody but toyota better be looking over their shoulder the gas titan will definitely give it a run for it' money and come out on top in some aspects. Once I get my diesel I will let you guys know if I made a mistake or not

Ok got my nissan. So far no issues done a few long trips already got about 1500 miles on it. Mileage is decent about 18 mpg at 75 mph about 15 in city about 16 combination average. Interior is alot more comfortable for long drives but these are two different trucks. The tundra is more like a sport car that to me felt like it wanted to be driven. The nissan is heavier more comfortable drive and feels very happy cruising about 75 to 80 on freeway. It seems like you are never in a rush. So far happy with truck. Will see how it holds up as we go foward
