Anyone know of a way to shut off the LED daytime running lights? I always bring my truck to bright nights (A Christmas light display in Forest park, springfield MA), and they ask you to turn the lights off. I always feel like my LED's blind the car infront of me...

    2 ways
One way you can get the non drl flasher relay from Toyota
Or you can depin or cut the gray wire going to the flasher relay and that will disable the drl’s.

Or simply unplug the drl connector at the headlight

Try this and lmk if it works
With the truck off, click the parking break on with one click and the start it. See if it stays off.

What if he puts a switch on the gray wire, then he can turn it off and on when he wants?

    See fine print
I don’t know if mom sr5’s are the same. Our drl is not on the turn signal. The red wire on the 4 pin harness is the wire for the high drl. If you snip it no more drl.

I’d just unplug it because the low drl will still function.

Just put duck tape on them before you enter the light show.

This works for DRL and parking lights. Confirmed on 2 Tundras and 1 4R today

Make sure lights are in off position and not auto before starting the truck.

Old thread but I can tell you one thing for sure...if you pull the DRL fuse on a 2nd gen, the truck won't start.
