I've had my truck for a year and it's mostly stock. I bought it as a demo and it came with the upgraded dual exhaust TRD and Anti Sway bar.

Hoping to save money and frustration from regulars here at this forum. I'm happy to hear suggestions and advice as I get going on this project.

I jumped on some price savings due to Black Friday. So, I got some stuff coming my way...

These are the wheels I've ordered, a Centerline special chrome wheel (PVD). They are 20x9 with a 12mm negative offset.

I need help finding a good set of tires to match my truck, the look, and my intended use.

My truck is primarily for my hobby of riding off road motorcycles. The tires need to be mostly pavement, some gravel road stuff, not much in the way of serious off road at all. Typical all terrain type tire? I do not want to suffer a massive drop in gas mileage, as I'm already at a pretty weak 14.5 mpg.

As with anything I buy, I'm willing to pay for good quality.

I ordered the following lift kit.

ToyTec #" Ultimate Lift Kit with Bilstein Shocks. Bilstein rear shocks 5100, rear lift 1 inch block kit, no aftermarket control arms.

I'm going to rip out the Toyota product bed liner in my truck and do LineX. Inside the bed, instead of constantly using tie downs for my bikes, I've ordered a pair of these to secure my bikes. They will be bolted in somehow to the bed of the truck, and right now trying to contemplate doing that without damaging the linex or truck bed? Thoughts and suggestions appreciated.

I am not mechanically inclined! A friend of mine is, and I pay him to be my mechanic on my motorcycles. I've asked him to do the mech work on this when he can.

Below are things I'm going to still need to address or buy and would greatly appreciate some advice from some of you that really know this stuff!

    • Tires
    • Is there a good power chip that increases performance, or improves gas mileage?
    • Lighting upgrades (current lighting does not see well in tight turns)
    • Better back up lights
    • Light bar for Wilco rack?
    • White Fender Flares
    • Rear Step
    • Linex tips suggestions best practices

I travel with this truck for motorcycle trips. I do lots of car camping and use the nice big crew cab to sleep in when not staying at a hotel or motel. Any cool tips, tricks or gear that assist with trips and car camping are of interest to me.

My truck is racking up some nice mileage and travel stickers. I anticipate going from Washington to Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah this April/May for a month long MotoCation.

stock is either +50 or +60 but I think they are 8", so they have about 2" of lip. a 9" wide rim with -12 has roughly 4.97 inches of lip. so they would stick out roughly 3 inches more if my math is correct.

Ok, so have decided that the look of this truck is going to be based on this. I've ordered the same wheel and tire combo. Jester's on 305/55/20 tire, going with Toyo Open Country AT2 tires

    A2FFD7E0.jpg 66B168D3.jpg

I can't figure out whether these wheels were zero offset or +12mm. I ordered the 12's

Not sure if I want fender flares or not, we'll see.

I currently have the Toyota optional bedliner in my truck but plan on replacing with LineX.

Any best practices or suggestions about the process that might save me time, money, hassles?

I find the interior lighting on my truck to be a bit dark, especially the stuff by the knees. Any reason why the mirror button isn't lighted up? After a bit of glancing around, seems like many of you extensively upgrade the interior lighting, so interested in finding out what is working out the best!

If you get the Linex done, then drill through it to install the bike rack, I believe you can lose the lifetime warranty. I’d speak to Linex about option before getting it done.

Dan and Lee are a couple of my dirt bike riding buddies. They have taken me into their group and I have Dan do all my dirt mechanical work. Since I have 3 bikes and ride lots, I keep him busy making some side coin.

The truck is going to next get lighting upgrades and a rack system built in. This truck needs to support my adventures that can be several weeks long.

With that offset, don't forget fender flares. Sounds like you are going to off-road it a lot and now you will be throwing rocks up at your paint.
