That looks like it's past the flares. I would guess 0. Hard to say though. Are you planning to add flares? Just remember, the further you go out, the more chance of rubbing issues.

I'm not sure if I'll add flares or not. So if those are zero, that means a 12 would be tucked in about 1/3 of an inch compared to the pictured look?

Ok, I'd go with the +12mm based upon what you've told me and warned me about.

    Next up.... TIRES

A friend is warning me away from these tires, says they are noisy and don't handle well. Perhaps that was a few years ago, and they are better now?

But, a sporty nice all terrain is what I want and hopefully it gets decent wear and mileage. I am NOT going to use these for any sort of "serious" off road stuff....

And certainly not going down to Poker Flats in Downieville california...

My recent trip to Downieville in late September. Divide trails 1,2,3...hit Chimney Rock, the lookouts and made the teeth rattling ride down to Poker Flats.... Truck trip from Wa, wound up in Mammoth Lakes and hit Bishop riding too.

Wow, nice pics. If you can ride down to Poker Flat on a bike, you can definitely do it in your truck. I'm going to leave the tires to someone else more knowledgeable. Tires are not my thing, I've only had Cooper STT Pros on my truck and they're MT tires.

I've got Nitto Ridge Grapplers...it a hybrid A/T tire that has a fairly aggressive look, but is smooth and quiet on the highway....I love mine and would buy them again.

I'd checked out a post of yours and saw that you were familiar with Poker Flat. Fun stuff. Riding out of there on the moto trails via the creek system was a high skill endeavor!

I rewarded the folks that helped me cancel the wheel order yesterday and bought the tires from them. Wound up buying the toyo open country a/t ii 305/55r20

Can't go wrong with Toyo's! Lots of folks on here are running them!

If I could’ve found em around the same price as my Nittos, I’d of bought Toyo RT’s in 285/75-18 or in 35s. Never heard a bad thing about any Toyos.
