Did you put anything between the coils and the console? I am going to pull it out and split the top par of the case off to bring the coils closer as you suggested, very good idea I may edit the post later here after a bit.

No. The coils are up against the plastic that had beeen trimmed down just like you have it. i just took it out of the case and glued it to the console directly on each corner.

This is awesome! I dig this. More than boardudes method (no offense) as it's more hidden and I can just drop the phone in the space and it'll charge.

Sounds great I did edit the post too about attaching the charger. I took it back out and split the case, charging now with the otter box on with no placement issues

It works great I’m liking it. They don’t charge as fast as plugging in of course. But I like leaving work and just sitting there and it charges all the way home or when I’m out and about I can just sit it there and charge back up a little.

No I have since changed out the charger as I mentioned in the edit. And I did find my hot glue gun so I used it this time to attach it.

On my initial install, i put the wrong one in, I had ordered a few to test the charging, I did pull it out and put in the 3 coil charger. I think think the 2 or 3 coils work fine either way you go.

and good question im not sure what chargers they use there.

i think I might try and get one of those if I can they have really strong connection no matter what case you have on your phone it will still charge I will look into it with the 2coil I installed only charges with my case off so that's why I am looking into a stronger charger

Oh yea for sure then i would get the one I have linked. It charges with any of my cases on, i have 2 heavy duty cases, otterbox & under armor and just sit it in and charging starts. I have had zero issues so far.

I split the case, i just took the top cover off and used a hot glue gun to attach it this time, since i finally found it. Pic is a couple post up. On the new charger to split the case, on the back there are 4 like rubber stoppers to help from sliding, pull those off and there are little screw under to take it appart easier, I found out the hard way lol.
