I picked up these two keeper chef knives for $5 at my local ARC Thrift Store. Over the years I've gotten some great stuff there. Most of my camping cast iron ware and hell of a lot of knives there too. The Wusthof 10" blade chef knife sells for $140 on Amazon. The 12" blade Ancienne Maison French chef pictured is slightly used. Been sharpened a few times. Basically broken in. In the present condition can go for up to $150. SCORE!!!!!!! Post your fantastic thrift store finds here!!!

20170831_163522.jpgI'm assuming CL works as well by the title. Found these, rebuilt and shortened to fit my truck. $450 for the pair.

My favorite TV show is American Pickers....Helps to know what you are looking for. The folks that work at most thrift stores have absolutely zero clue what they are pricing. I take it back , they do generically speaking..My Friend's Mike and Sita bought a hand crafted solid cherry wood coffee table for $75. Worth $450 easily...

I hit up all the ARC Thrift in my area. I look for anything USA cast iron. USA, French, German, and Japanese knives. Corning bakeware is good to. I found in the knife section once a nice wood box with the Gerber logo on it. Opened it up..Score!!! Early 70s Oregon made Gerber high end carving set. Knives looked brand new. 4 bucks. Worth $125 easy. It's in my storage unit in a locker with all my best knives. I've got a lot of vintage Case, Schrade, Boker, Buck, you name it. All in great condition. Headed to the thrifts tomorrow morning. Early Saturday best time to go. New stock.

Still haven't found that Ming yet.. I make a point of buying anything cast iron made by Lodge. I've got so much camping Lodge cast iron I'll do quite well cooking for everyone when the Zombie apocalypse hits. No too worried about NK rocket man. His days are numbered I'm thinkin.....:infantry::oldglory:
