I just bought the same sub three wks ago..but there's no box for it..where are you planning on placing it? I want to build the ported box SQ recommends and place it under the seat as it seems that is the only place the beast might fit.. The carpet might need to be cut.I also have a dc

i plan on putting it under the rear seat. i hope to get a box soon to get it put in and complete this sound upgrade. did you do door speakers and tweeters as well? the tweeters were the hardest part for us

Not yet..I'm thinking components..with tweeters on the dash..mount the crossovers under the dash and running wires to the tweeters and use existing wires for door speakers.. In front and three way regular speakers in the back doors

just some advice, when you get components make sure you get the proper brackets and for the tweeters make sure you have a drill to cut the grill of the tweeters if you get something like soundqubed because you will need to cut out stuff for the tweeters to fit. my original plan of putting the tweeters on the sail panels did not work out because it would have been alot of work to do that i was not ready for. i wanted to make it all soundqubed but soundqubed did not fit in the back because it was too thick so make sure you dont get something that is to thick for the back. the front was no big deal the 6.5 soundqubed worked perfect for me i got the 6.5 components with tweeters

Thank you was not aware the back doors were narrower than the front. I believe @ Roman sells the sail pillars with the tweeter hole already cut out.

that was helpful. thanks for the pic. the only people i know who do the sail panels are taco tunes but you have to buy a tweeter through them so its 173 lol. oh btw if any of you guys get tweeters the front speakers under the windshield are almost like mini speakers not tweeters so a fair warning if you are doing a overhaul with tweeters if you dont have a sub with it it will sound odd with no bass until you buy a sub and amp. thats how mine is now. it sounds amazing just the bass is off cuz when i cut the tweeters/mini speakers that were factory under the windshiled they had a bit of bass to them that tweeters do not have. just a fair warning

It is not hard to cut the holes for the tweeters in the sails.

The ones I got from soundqubed were too fat and thick for them so we cut a hole on the grille where the speakers were under the windshield and they look pretty cool to me but I wanted to do the sail panels, would have looked cool

Easiest route is going to a local reputable stereo shop and having them make you a box custom to your subwoofer. Sealed VS. Ported.......port diameter.....port length.....all things that an online box will not be as a local shop will be able to tune the box and also get the correct amount of airspace for your chosen subwoofer........just my $.02

I have a custom box with (2) 10s under my rear seat

The fit is tight and the seat doesn’t latch but it’s all the way down

Did you buy your components local? I live in Land O Lakes, and looking for a reputable shot for components and installation.

Airbox with K&N Filter, 2" lift on 33's, Alpine iLX-F309 head unit, Pull out bed tool boxes, brown with black trim, rims, etc, black leather interior, matching topper. Muffler delete (too loud..) 62k miles!!!
I used Bright Star Audio our of Pinellas Park. I found them on Ebay and called and spoke with the owner. Ordered and had the box in about 4 days and was amazed at what a difference it was from what I put together. I thought the sub was blown before getting the box because it sounded that bad. There is a lot more to making a box in addition to just volume of the box. So yeah I couldn't be happier. I wen't single 10 with mine but they offer all kinds of boxes for our Tundra's with all kinds of configurations.

I spoke to the owner and I was suppose to bring my truck in so they can take measurements and come up with a behind the seat sub.. Soundquebed provides all the specs for the box that is design for the specific sub..

Did the back seat mod and had two of these behind the back seat of a 2017 DC. Volume worked out to just under what I needed so second time around I will make a little bigger to meet the requirements. Love having them behind the seat and out of the way

not local to you but check out their site. They built my box and I have recommended them before a couple times. They also have a box for you to fill out for amp you are going to use and the sub so they can build it to spec depending if you choose sealed or ported. I have 2 12's under my seat and the seat latches.....after I took out my factory floor mats.

The sail panels aren't hard to cut. Most tweeters come with a housing to surface mount also, drill one small hole....

I built a box for a full size 10" sub for my DC. Sounds fantastic.
Most of the boxes you're going to find online are for shallow subs.
