Hello. New member of the forum and I have a few questions about my Tundra that I am hoping you guys can help me with before I see my dealer for the 5,000 mile service.
    1) Below the front headlights there looks like there is a row of led lights that make a L shape. I can't get those to come on or I am beginning to think they are not functional led's at all. Just decoration reflectors?
    2) I have a 26 gallon fuel tank. I got a low tank warning light and a dash readout of "9 miles to empty". I stop for gas and the first time 22.4 gallons and second time 21.7 gallons. What's up with that?

    Thanks for all responses.

Can't speak for the LEDs have you checked them with the lights all the way off? They might be just driving lights or something.

The gas tank thing is correct. My(and every one else from my understanding) the light comes on with about 6 gallons left. Who knows why

    Edit: oh! And welcome! :D

    Welcome.

    1) they are LEDs for running lights. I dont have a 3rd gen so i cant help you troubleshoot but there are people here that can.
    2) The tank is 26.4 gal. The light comes on with ~6 gal left. The needle is on the E with ~4 gal left. When the needle is way past the line and your certain your walking, you still have 2 gal left. Manufacturers design in a buffer. Probably because they don't want to see their truck on the side of the road and people to think its broke down :)

Here is one like where this was discussed. https://www.tundras.com/threads/2014-trd-needing-mpg.2250/#post-33296

Thanks guys. Lots of help there. The answers to my fuel question make sense to me. So, if I am reading Sean266 correctly if my Tundra is an SR5 base model then I do not have led's below the head light and that is decorative only. Can the led's be added and made functional?

Correct- non functional with the SR5 trim.
You can, but from what I've read it's all new wiring and a new wire setup...you cannot swap with a higher trim unless you re-do the wire setup too.

2015 crwmax sr5. First time I let my low fuel light come on today and it came on at 39 miles left to empty. Filled up and only put 20 gallons in. Also when I first purchased the pickup and filled full the fuel mileage said 322 for range now says 402 miles20150923_164345.jpg 20150924_125610.jpg 20150924_125758.jpg
