    In gonna go with Monster 20's 285/60/20 and a level kit cause I wanna keep my mud flaps and do not want to trim. Is there a certain offset I need to go with?

    image.jpg Finally got my winter tire set up. Ultra Hunters with General Grabber AT2. Definitely makes the truck look a little more "rugged". I was surprised how much the tires sit outside the fender wells. Bit concerned about rocks being thrown. Also had a front tire rub but only full cranked in one direction and in reverse (?).

    Hi guys, new to the forum. Just purchased a 2016 Tundra Limited and been reading this thread and forum. Still having trouble finding details on tire size and wheel offset. I have a Pro Comp 3/1 leveling kit and looking at 20x9 Method wheels. Id love to go to a 35 x 12.5 General X3 but am not sure if they would fit with a +18 offset with no rub or minimal trimming. I don't mind trimming some plastic but don't want to trim metal at all. My other goal is that I don't want my wheels sticking out too far which a +18 seems to do. Are 35's possible or do I need to go to 33's or something equivalent? Definitely like the 35" look better. Any assistance is appreciated.

    Did you ever get a reply or can you share some pics of your completed ride? I am considering the same setup on 2017 DC 4x4 with Fuel Maverick 18" and +20 BS with 305/65/18 Nitto G2's. Undecided on the 3/1 ready lift spacer lift/level or the billstein 5100 set to 3/1.

    Anyone else with a POV would be appreciated. I want to keep the flaps on the front even if I have to bend them a bit. Could part with the lower flap. Next size down is 285/70/18 BFG but I really prefer the Nitto

    Very nice looking. How much trimming did you have to do? Just plastic? Skid plate at all? Assuming at 11.77 width and +25BS they sit directly under the well and don't come out at all?

    Guys looking for some help. Second Tundra, now a 17 DC TRD non-Pro. I have 2 decisions:
    1. Bilstein 5100's set at 3/1 or ready lift 3/1 spacer setup. Obviously big cost difference but I would like the better shocks I think
    2. With that lift, looking for tires that will sit under or just a touch outside the wells to avoid rock throws. Want to keep flaps if possible as I spend a lot of time on gravel roads. Liking the nitro G2's and like Fuel Maverick +25 BS. Looking at 295/70/18, but they look tight on a truck and show 34.29 on Nitto chart. I don't want to lose so much size by going to 285/65/18 but only other options are go to a BFG in that size of go to a 305/65/18 in Nitto which has right diameter but is 12.25" wide. Can I get those under the wells with +25 BS, will they stick out a little, or stick out a lot (enough for flares)? Concerns about rubbing the UCR?

    I have it narrowed down but could use some help. thanks

    6" readylift, rock star wheels on 33's and much more.
    @xupkid2 you can go up to 35s but you will have to do minimal trimming with a 9 wide wheel. I have 10 wide and they rubbed a bit when wheel was turned all the way but I trimmed a small amount and heated the plastic to reshape if. Works great.

    Looking at getting a set of wheels/tires. 2017 Crewmax SR5 White. Not going to lift...at least right now, eventually might do a level. Trying to decide on 18's or 20's. Leaning more towards the 18's since I like the look of a little more rubber. I like the XD827 RS3 all black (XD82789086700) with Nitto Terra Grappler G2's. The wheels have a 0 offset. Thanks to this thread, I know the max tire/wheel sizes. Just wanted y'alls input. Will the wheels be flush with the body line? Are 18's the way to go? What tire sizes would you suggest? 285/65 R18? Any other input or thoughts are welcome. Thanks!

    What is the max size tire on factory 18" wheel with the 5100's at middle setting?
    Just looking for A/T with more side wall. Most likely KO2.

    Who has experience with that exact set-up? My local shops are struggling to give me direction...

    0 offset is way too aggressive without a lift, your wheels will poke out atleast 2" and rub all over the place. Even with a 3" lift, you want to stay around a +18 to +25 offset. If you want flush with your fenders, you want +50 to +60 like the stock wheels.

    Just figured I'd post a couple pics of how everything turned out, thanks again to everyone for the advice on my wheels! The tires do rub quite badly in reverse on the back of the front wheel wells. Any advice on how to fix this that doesn't involve a sledgehammer?

    Depending how badly they rub, you can remove the bolt on the liner under the bumper, pull it forward and drill a new hole into the bumper. That'll give you about 1/2". If you grind some of the bumper, you can get even more. If it still rubs try getting a heat gun and manipulating the plastic liner to give you a little more. I cut a section off my liner where it was rubbing. A few people have added washers to move the entire front bumper forward. If all else fails... big fricking sledgehammer!

    I was leveled on 35x12.50 . 20x9 wheels 0 offset. But I clipped the bumper, skid and did the body mount frame chop. Never rubbed. Tires sure did kill my mileage tho. Lol

    Hi Guys
    So I need advice on tiers and size, I bought black rhino wheels 20x9 +12 offset. Now I have hard time deciding what tiers I want
    So I will be installing 2.5" leveling kit and rear 1"
    I don't do any crazy off roading, I don't want street tiers need something that look good and won't compromice the ride and will have a good handling on the road any input would be greatly appreciated

    With that setup I'd go 305/50/20 nitto ridge grappler or 285/55/20 with BFG KO2. As stated about there will be some trimming to get no rubbing. I clipped the bumper and did the body mount chop 1st thing

    Quick question for all of you talented and more experienced folks. I have a 2016 Platinum Crewmax and I'm getting the 3/1 readylift kit installed in the next few weeks. After that I'll be in the market for new tires. I'm wondering if a 285/65/20 will fit without rubbing or trimming, and if so what offset I'd need with a 9 inch rim to accomplish that. I'd like them to stick out about an inch past the fenders so when I put flares on it doesn't look tucked, so whatever offset I need to accomplish that would be appreciated. If those won't fit I'm assuming 285/60/20 shouldn't have any issues, but would still be wondering on the offset to get them out to that stance where they sit about flush with flares. Thanks for any info.

    Most flares need over an inch to not look tucked. With a +25 offset, you should be at right about an inch and will still be slightly tucked. Even at that offset, 285/65/20 will rub and you will have to do some trimming. Possibly a CMC too. You’ll be really close.

    Thanks for the quick reply. What do you think the biggest size I could go without rubbing would be with that offset? I definitely don't want to do a CMC, but I'm perfectly fine doing the removal of the mudflaps and heat gun modding the fender liners.

    Sorry, I meant the 285/65/20. The 285/60/20 should be fine. If you go with the 285/60, I would go with a +18 offset if you plan to get flares. But that is only a 33.4” tire. I personally would go with bigger without flares and deal with the rubbing. There’s a chance you won’t need a CMC and even if you do, they really aren’t that bad.

    You're good haha. This all confuses me haha. On that thread explaining largest tire for both stock and with different size lifts it says with a 3" a 285/65/20 fits and doesn't mention any rubbing like it does with larger sizes. So why is it that you think it'll rub with the 3"? Not trying to question your knowledge just curious due to all of the information I've been trying to comb through.
