Hey all, I’m really excited to be a member of the forum and look forward to reading through all the threads.

One of the first things I’d like to do is find a good scan tool similar to what I used to use in the VW world (VAG tool) that has CAN communication that can identify all the different control modules on my new/used truck. Suggestions would be greatly appreaciated!

    Thanks,
    Gabe

Welcome to the forum. ScanGauge and UltraGauge seem to be popular. As I remember, I think Ultra is cheaper and has most of the functions (but not all). If you want more a more sophisticated one, I think they are quite a bit more expensive.
