What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Nice truck! First thing I would get are the 2018 LED headlights, they will be a huge improvement!

Yeah haha I plan to go post over there shortly just thought I'd throw mine up here first. I've actually been lurking on the forum since before I bought the truck and have been through like 50 pages of this thread before I decided to post. You guys are all going to make me spend my life's savings.

Well, you got to make the truck yours. And tell your wife or significant other it was on sale; my wife tells me that all the time when she comes back from the mall.

 

I think I'm going to retrofit the stock ones and paint the housings so I can do something a little more custom. I did retrofits in my previous truck and I'm pretty confident I can (fairly) easily do them again! Thanks for the compliment though, and with those LED Headlights yours is pretty good looking itself! Those 2018's are nice!

 

Yours is looking pretty slick too, you guys may end up talking me into those LED's if you keep taunting me with them.

 

Retrofit to true HID (like all Morimoto stuff) is a good option as well, I would never try that because I would probably mess up the headlights. Also I am not sure if it will save you a lot of money, I think you can go OEM LED for under 900.00 including conversion harness.

 

LoL Hi beams are amazing I can see for miles

 

I can do the Morimoto hid conversion for right about half that much, but there's certainly something to be said for sticking with stock and not baking your lights in an oven haha. I did them in my Nissan Frontier almost 3 years ago and now that I've had them I'm not sure I can live without them haha they really weren't bad once I got into it and I learned a lot so I imagine it can only be easier the second time.

 

What's up with Titan in your driveway, did you trade it in on the Tundra?

Titan is dad's, traded the Frontier in on the Tundra haha. Never needed a full size truck but I'm starting to do more towing and hauling, so decided I was going to need to upgrade sooner or later.

I already had a list going before you started pressuring me! Luckily, my girlfriend's already been asking me some ideas for Christmas so I may be able to knock some of the smaller stuff out of the way with the holidays haha. She's the best!

Only 5k on them but for what you pay for, you look bad ass and do the job.. I had 2 other friends have them so I tried them.. we’ll see how they end up

 

Used 28 sheets of dynamat and 1 sheet of dynaliner that I quartered and put behind the speaker. Did the doors, back wall and floor.
