I bought a kit from ebay that was a good deal. The kit included everything. Now I had this machanic install it in my truck a few days ago. The problem was clear when I noticed that the light did not turn off on their own when I stopped the vehicle and removed the key. I didn't get a light on alarm either. Is this right? did the machanic jump a step? I am sure either the wife or I will leave the light on all night draining the battery.

He wired them to constant power instead of off ignition power. Some people have different preferences but it can be fixed rather easily, he just needs to tap into a different power source. Sorry I don't have the fuse #'s handy of which one he should get the power from if you want them to turn off with the ignition.

Look in your manual or usually there is a sticker on the cover of the fuse box.
