Yep. Last year, after 14 months of diligent searching, I picked up a 2nd gen. 2015 Sequoia with 179,000 miles on it. It passed my due diligence checkout. Colton helped me get the suspension not just replaced but upgraded. Holy guacamole is it a solid runner. And hauls three grandsons, an aunt and a week's luggage perfectly for the lovely Misses McGov.

And A LOT of parts cross with the Tundra.

No kidding, I like my wife's 21 GX460, but I would much rather we have a Sequoia just for when we actually have 7 people. My dad a 13 or 14 Sequoia Platinum and I loved that thing, but she said it was too hard to get in and out of the garage, well, most of the time she's driving her Tacoma work truck, so, not an actual issue.

We've got 4 kids and I don't think we could do it with any other vehicle. Do none of you carry double strollers and bags filled with diapers/toys/snacks/crap basically 100%? We looked at 2nd/3rd gen Sequoias, Traverses, and Pilots, and ended up with the GM 5.3. The downsides through our current 80K ownership are intermittent loss of radio function, the volume knob LED light pipe going in and out, a few firmware upgrades, and now what I think is an oil pan weep. Otherwise, totally solid. I didn't like how it was sounding as it neared its OCIs, so I swapped to 5W-30 and will see if this keeps a bit thicker, longer. We also made it without any lifter issues which I attribute to the initial 1K and 3K oil changes.

Sequoia would be my choice for Full Size SUV in 2025 unless you want some higher trim like Lexus.

4 kids would be a struggle for sure. With 3 in forward facing car seats, we routinely have the Pilot full for trips around town and my wife can fill my truck every time we go on a road trip.

We had a 2019 4runner but when wife got pregnant with baby 3 last year we upgraded to a 2019 Sequoia. Wish the rear had another foot or two of cargo space but we love it and all the space. We took out the middle part of the 2nd row bench. 1 car seat in the middle of the 3rd row and then 2 car seats in second row. We keep the 40 seat folded down in the 3rd row for more cargo space unless the rare time we need to use all the passenger seats.

so we typically took the wife's vehicle when going out with the family. her 2019 Honda Odyssey minivan had better storage in the rear when loaded. that's why i got a rack on top and one on the back hitch as well for when we start taking it on little trips. but her's held much more storage in the back with the deep trunk space.
her next vehicle is prob going to be the suburban or yukon xl for the storage(with a 125k warranty on it)

    From 4-5 kids, i've had a 4Runner with 3rd row.
With 6 kid i got a 2nd gen Sequoia but had problems with engine i didnt want to deal with. Now have a Tahoe that is actually a lot nicer and roomier than Sequoia was. Still have the 4R too but obviously doesn't fit everyone at once.
Not planning on a 7th kid but if it happens, it'll be Sprinter van time.
