You’re really banking those curves there!

One of the most stable trucks I’ve ever had in those curves. I love the way it handles them.
Can take them quite a bit faster and still be stable, but until get it rebooted with new clamps been keeping speed down so it won’t sling cv grease.

On the downshift hill descent “speed control” I have so many questions.
    1. Is it a sensor in the computer reading wheel speed?
    2. or a level sensor like on a camper that self levels?
    3. How would, or does leveling affect it?
    4. Is there a way to adjust it after leveling truck? It could be my imagination but seems to take steeper hills to activate it now compared to before my front lift because before if I took foot off gas pedal on some of little local hills it would downshift out of O/D. Now it doesn't. I like it being less sensitive, but really curios about it.

The steeper the hill the deeper the down shift.
Those last night weren't steep as the ones we took the day that it was downshifting enough gears to increase RPM/s by 1K from a single tap.
But it still activated decreasing RPM's.

On the way back it is mostly climbing with shallower grades compared to trip up there, and this was only hill it would it would even downshift out of Overdrive on from the brake tap.
Not as pronounced because hill not that steep but towards end can see speed decreasing as RPMs is going up before I touched the gas and it upshifted again.

Having 2, 2006 Toyota vehicles, plus @Bought2Pull noticing his doing it on one hill would seem there is possibly something not mentioned in owners manual.

Last time we went took 4 runner to Mena the downshif from tapping the brakes going down some of those steep buggers got a good workout.
If the hill is steep enough, it will do a deep enough downshift you'll feel sudden change in speed. Scared me the first time it ever did it in 4runner because I just felt it downshift and wasn't watching rpms so thought rear end or bearing was going out until I looked down and saw the rpm's had increased significantly.

    I can see that.
Should I put a warning on it? LOL

Looks like not everyone gets the secret benefit.

Seems like there must be some type of sensor/mechanism beyond the LSPV.

There has to be something somewhere.
There was a hill heading to town it would automatically downshift out of O/D unless I kept gas pedal slightly depressed, and Since I put the OME 2884’s on it (right at 2” lift) it no longer does so on that hill.
It’s takes a steeper grade to activate deep downshift now compared to before.
Seems to be a feature not many are aware of so have been unable to find much information on it.
It’s ok way it is now just have to use my brakes more than I used to.

    Or manually downshift.
