I was looking forward to picking up my 2026 Tundra TRD Pro next week as it was going to be delivered to the dealer. Received a note from the salesman that “today Toyota pulled ALL of the TUNDRA TRD PRO models that are incoming for inspection due to a potential issue with the power lift gate. This places a 30 day hold (stndard) on the ETA for the vehicle”.
Has anyone else heard the same?

No, but I saw a bunch of new Tundras with a stop sale sign on them yesterday for the reverse lamp recall!

Haven't heard about the hold but there's been several posts about issues with the power tailgate. No idea if there's anything related to the hold but here's one thread..

Which is funny because the Toyota dealer sold me mine with the open reverse light recall. However, they were a complete fucking disaster of a dealer, so I'm not surprised.

The sales department at my dealer likes to do this also. Turns out when a department is ran by dipshits who only look for a dollar, you run into these issues alot.

"Recall part availability 6+ months" apparently means nothing to them. Were they able to close your deal completely?

Well, they literally fucked up everything. The tag, the warranty, the key, the insurance... Was a nightmare. They were extremely rude and incompetent. Total shitshow dealer. Took 6 weeks to get it all fixed because I live in a different state than the dealer.
