Made a couple Fire Pits out of an old propane tank.
I figured they'd rust through over time but they're still going after 15 years.
Do a lot of Cast Iron Cooking with it.
When I do a pot of Chile or Beans I'll slide the lid to the side a bit for some Mesquite flavor.
Makes for a really unique tasting pot of Beans or Chile.
Gotta be careful not to overdo it though.
Had to toss a pot of Beans the first time I tried it.
The bottom Pic is Sweet Cornbread.
Makes some Killer Cobbler as well.
There's some really good Cooking with Cast Iron Sites out there.

    Ah....I see the problem.
You live in Maryland and have most likely never had a good brisket.
    Kidding.....Kinda.

I have been all around the country traveling for work - made a point to visit bbq places in probably 35 of them…..just never cared for it over the pulled pork or pit beef (highly underrated in my opinion). Brisket is just something that I tend to not like the texture of mostly. I can do lean brisket but find myself always wishing I got the pork afterwards…..lol. I also really like the cheddar jalapeño smoked sausage

Not real sure what you mean about texture.
A properly cooked brisket is super tender.
If you were to try and pick up a slice it should fall apart.
It's definitely one of the harder cuts to cook properly no doubt!!
I've killed a lot of them over the years.
But the Dogs were really Happy about it!!!

I can respect that. I don’t agree with it and think you’re wrong but I can respect it.

All joking aside, what is pit beef? Never heard that term.

And a good jalapeño cheddar sausage is hard to beat.

You guys won’t be disappointed; just make sure you have a good horseradish sauce to go with it. And a lot of people (including myself sometimes) use something they call tiger sauce around here.

    Tiger sauce and Ingredients
    • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
    • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt

Not sure if it’s available where you are but in Safeways here they carry DC mambo sauce……if you can get your hands on some of that I sometimes drizzle that with horseradish with thinly sliced white onion.
