Hey I just wanted to hear ya'll opinions on what setup i should go with. Right now I am running a brand new 6inch Dirty Deeds Exhaust Bolt on system I recently bought. Honestly if i could keep it i would because it sounds so good and knowing that you gain your torque back n a little HP is just top notch. Sadly i have to let it go because I need to cop my Rear Fiberglass fenders and will be going w a custom side exit exhaust setup. I will be try to keep the pipe sizing the same as much as i can to minimize torque loss. I plan on doing a Dual, Y pipe then to Single Side Exit Exhaust. I was thinking Dual "Carven R" or Dual "Borla Atak" or Dual "Borla XR1". What setup do ya'll think will sound the best???? Maybe SpinTech 6000 but the drone is terrible.

Why not talk with Keith and just have a new tailpipe made to fit your needs? Would keep the exhaust you love and I'm sure it would be cheaper than a whole new system. @dirtydeeds can probably weigh in if that is something they can do

I think in order to accommodate the side exit, everything needs to be move forward so an entirely new DD exhaust would need to be fabricated. His exhaust is designed to reuse the OE down pipes all the way back. Not saying he can’t do it, just that I don’t think it’s a simple chop chop. You could also purchase the muffler separate from the system.

I placed my X pipe as forward as possible, so just where the driver’s side down pipe slides under the transfer case and turns rearward. That left me enough room for about 18” of pipe back to a Y collector in to a single 3” In/Out muffler. Ran a Spintech for a bit (whatever the quietest one is) then switched to a Flowmaster Laminar Flow muffler. With shorter pipes between the x pipe and y pipe, you could accommodate a side exit.

How do you feel about an over-the-axle dump? Enough room for that?

Just dump your oe tailpipe after the axle aiming down.

I might be confusing many w the "Side Exit" but I meant w the bezel. Might do dual tips or tear drop. Im just debating on the muffler choices. Ive heard the dual Carven R and it sounds so good but haven't any Borla Atak or XR1 on any Tundras.
