3rd Gen body with 5.7----2 door!

This is from a local garage/scrap merchant in Sharjah UAE.

 

I can’t even imagine the amount of work it took to make that.

 

Not to mention money to burn.

 

Looks like a body kit. Original cab and doors. Replacement panels for the rest.

 

Why? Just why?

 

Actually I think it looks kind of cool.

 

I have to admit...looks better than current 3rd Gen.

 

Beautiful job imo. Now that the hard part is done, someone start printing the parts and selling them! This would be a great way for some of us luddites to keep our trucks fresh well into the future.

 

Damn if I were going to pour that kind of money into a 2nd gen, I would’ve started with a lower mileage truck. But now he might as well convert the 2nd gen interior to a 2.5 gen interior.

 

They do that all the time in Mexico with the second gen single cab Tacoma to make it a 3rd gen body

i personally think the second gen tundras look much better than the 3rd gen tundra but to each their own

 

True, but that's a pretty low bar.

 

I was going to say the same thing, I do think the Tacoma swap is much more bolt on than the custom fabrication this probably needed.

 

To go through all that work and money to refresh a 2nd gen and then not even use the Sequoia front end for it.... what a waste.
