Well I finally got the transmission in. Took 4 days longer than planned. At least I was able to reseal the transfer case that was seeping oil at the lower corner.
I used 23 quarts of Dex3 as I'll be swapping the transmission out when I get the old one built up. Needed a good flush as it had some nasty WS fluid. At least it wasn't burnt and little bit of clutch debri but not too bad.
Thanks @reywcms for holding onto the transmission for me.
Anyone ever seen a factory transmission with permanent marker written on the valve body and trans housing? Had a L1 and a 63 written inside. Curious if it had been rebuilt or?

That's a pool of fluid! I bet she's happier now! Nice work on the reseal, too!

Well we are having supercharger temps in NE oklahoma as of late. Since swapping in the nomad valve body flooring it when on the highway at about 55mph on the freeway downshifting to second (i think) barks the rear tires and induces a bit of fish tail at speed. Still waiting on oe spring plates so I can fab up the axle traction bar bracket, once those are done and on should be even more fun. Oh then smaller pulley time and tune!

I'm going through the installation instructions one last time to make sure i've got all my ducks in a line.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do about wiring the IC pump? I've already got a add-a-fuse or whatever they're called for my headlights (i think thats what it is) to the ign fuse location
    Fusebox.jpg Fusebox instructions.jpg

I'm assuming that its a bad idea to daisy-chain a bunch of these fuses together. They both should be just going to relays so it shouldn't have too much draw on them.

If memory severs, that add a fuse is just used to trigger a relay for the IC pump; the pump power comes directly from the battery through the relay. You can splice or t-tap your existing add-a-fuse wire to get power for the relay turn on. It shouldn't affect the fuse. I used the same method for two other relays I have under the hood for lights and my gauge set. Again, they are just using the add-a-fuse as a switched ignition source to trigger the relay.

    Thanks!
Thats what i was thinking. It shouldn't be much of a draw, i'll just tap off the existing add-a-fuse.

$50k is a pretty darn good price, actually. That built XAT motor alone is selling for 20k right now, plus the SC, plus a 43k mile truck with all of the body and suspension work.

If you do not want to have to splice a wire, you can grab the ignition "on" from the USB-1 labeled fuse with a fuse tap, I do not remember what number it was on my '21 but, that's where I grabbed power for my boost/afr gauge.

The relay only needs 1-2amps to trigger the relay. Not much of a strain on the tapped one.
Now if you start adding too much you may need to adjust your setup.

Recently supercharged 2018 Tundra here, almost 3k miles in and love it! Switched to 5W20 last oil change. What are you guys running? Think I am also going to go to every 3k miles instead of 5 as well. I'm in the Northeast.

Congratulations! It's gets better with age, too! Ha! I run 5w30 year round...some use 5w40 in the warmer climates...thicker oils are seemingly better on boosted applications....

5w30 here. Just went to toyota for a change specifically asking for 5w. They did 0w20. Long story short they replaced it with 5w:rofl:

306k with 5k changes of 0w-20. For the first time ever I went to 5w-30 a few days ago. No real reason and doubt there will be anything to show for it, but I like the idea of thicker oil. And I've done plenty of changes well past 5k, like 8k. 3k seems overly cautious, even 5k is imo with modern oils and filters.

    Oil.....
    5w-40 Mobli1 Euro not esp... every 5k.
Let's not talk ATF as this past year I went from WS to DEX3 to AISIN to Idemitsu type4 and now on DEX3 until the rebuild then back to Idemitsu type4. Went DEX for the low cost.
