We did this work last Saturday and Monday........but the wife didn't want to upload the pics till today.

Pulled the short trailer and removed three loads of bushes until the client got tired of the landfill bills and had us throw it into a pile for the wood chipper guy to chip up. The bags on the trailer are of all the trash, small rocks, pine needles, leaves, and some of the junk out of his garage. Over 1000 pounds on the scale as I recall.

    20250901_190925.jpg

I wish we had a before pic but all along that rock wall in the foreground were 16 bushes, each 5 feet across and probably 8 feet tall. My saw ran out of battery power after we cut the first 8 level with the ground. I don't do a lot of this sort of thing but I can now see the need for a corded sawzall. (The rest were to be cut by the tree cutting crew due in the next day).

Picked up a new tool kit to keep in the truck. I’ve had a super cheap set for years (had it in my T100 too) that’s been surprisingly okay, but finally broke a few parts and wanted something a little better.
Haven’t used it yet but looks good, can’t complain for $100.

I've seen at least one 1st Gen Tundra stepside in my area this summer. Didn't get to speak with the owner.

The truck in the video there, just gorgeous!

So about half an ugga dugga?

Although seriously, I thought he’d torque the water pump correctly for the gasket.

Tap it with the back of a screwdriver, or knife, like you’re trying to open a pickle jar. A little lubricant; or potentially MAF cleaner cleaner since it dries, could help remove any dirt or debris in the connectors without damage. I prefer the tapping/banging with a screwdriver because it makes me feel better.

Replaced the lower ball joints. OEM. Bought the truck a few weeks ago. It has 200k and the ball joints were replaced by the previous owner with the new recall parts at 14k miles. They seemed to still be good but wanted that peace of mind.

What I did today was use a long thin straight blade screwdriver. I push it into the part of the plug so it lifts the tab instead of me squeezing the other side. Either method raises the locking clip part. Then I use a pliers to grab the O2 Sensor side of the plug and it came out. Drivers side is for sure the most difficult to work on.

Today I replaced the two upstream O2 Sensor in my 2002. I purchased them before reading on the forums that A. you should purchase Denso brand and B. That you should replace them in upstream/downstream pairs. So I only purchased the upstream ones as they were throwing the heater code and I purchased Walker brand. I should probably order the downstream ones now and get Denso.

Thanks. I have a two foot long Phillips screwdriver I use to take AC units apart. I may try that if pushing the connector in while pushing down on the tab followed by pulling doesn’t work.

Straight blade not phillips. I can't see how a phillips would fit. It has to slip inside the plug lifting the locking end of the tab. Thinking about it I used this screwdriver on both sides but only the pliers on the passenger side. Drivers side I slipped the screwdriver into the connector and then just reached in and grab the plug and it popped right out.

You wedged the screwdriver in from the O2 side connector to free it by pushing the tab up and not under the tab from its mating connector side which is attached to the vehicle? Just trying to clarify.

Yes that is correct. From the O2 sensor side, this lifts the locking end of the connector on the vehicle side same as squeezing it would. Push the screwdriver in and let go. It stays there. Then pull on the O2 sensor side of the plug and it should disconnect. I wish I had taken a photo or could find one on the internet.

Okay, I get it. I wasn’t aware there was enough room to jam a small screwdriver in there.

I didn’t see her pull her hand out with the screwdriver in hand when she popped it free. Almost seems like she gave up on that method. Haha

Gave my truck its new underbite. One stripped bolt, 4 bolts that ARB said should be there and weren’t, and extremely vague instructions. Otherwise a pretty easy install.

They should build in lockable drawers to utilize that unused space in the bumper.

Now do your timing belt, water pump, and radiator. Apparently those go around 100K....do you know when yours was changed by the last owner?

Good job on the LBJ's by the way.

Today we pulled the single axle to do two yards BUT silly me forgot to replace the worn pull rope on the TB 230 self propelled mower. BAM rope broke.

Back to the house for the 2 axle and riding mower.

Now I have that rope pull to fix. :annoyed:
